      @@peterzimmermann6173 I'm sure they were. I've heard skynyrd and acdc hooked up when acdc was touring florida back in the 70s. I believe there's even a old rock mag article wrote about the meeting of the 2 bands. Rumor is rvz gave bon the skynyrd belt buckle he's seen wearing in so many picks on the internet.

    Steve and Allen playing together is so GOOD! Artimus is such a good drummer. This is the real deal. Ronnie's band.

      @@Colinshreds69 I beg to differ. The 1987 resurrected band had Gary, Leon, Ed, Artemis, Billy, Johnny Ronnie’s little brother, and Allens friend Randall Hall. Alan served as musical director at this time. If they would have had Ricky Medlocke that would have made it 6 pre-crash members. Ronnie told Gary to if something ever happened to him to keep the band going.

    I love it every time when Rossington plays his solos and stuff, he leans and sways back with his Les Paul. Really cool badass stuff!

    I saw this tour in Chicago July 10, 1977. Glad I saw the original band before the Plane crash. I love the Gibson Explorer on this lead as it has such a unique sound all its own.

      The Firebird was other black and white video got them mixed up. He usually plays Firebird on this one know it all.

      Saw him sitting front row at a Pearl Jam show a few years ago...He was dressed like he was performing, big hat and long jacket....At the end of the show Mike Mcready played a snippet of Simple Man as an outro to Little Wing and ran over and hugged him and stuff...I assumed he`s friends with the band for getting stage seats at a sold out arena gig.

      Steve and Allen were great guitar players no doubt fast and accurate, but Ronnie was a genius when it came to who played what and I think he had Gary playing the soul of the songs.

    It's a damn shame their careers got cut short like it did.. Steve Gaines bought a whole new dimension to the band💯 Steve and Ronnie were going to be just like Lennon and McCartney💯 writing partners💯 they would have wrote some great songs together💯 because Street survivors was great💯 rest in peace Ronnie Steve Cassie Allen Leon Billy Ed and Dean Freebirds💯❤💯

    I just Ronnie's pure excitement and happiness in this great classic song and especially the whole concert and other gigs that year like Fresno and Oakland in how he yells, screams and whistles. He was most likely that way because of Steve Gaines that restored the entire band to a new level for the future and of course his second daughter was born the year before.

      They hate him because he speaks the truth about what they have done and all the shit he went through in the 90's when one of his exes whom he was divorcing in Florida at the time tried to convict him for molesting her children in order to steal his money but fortunately he never did.

    Ronnie can command a stage like no other. And that three guitar attack is incredible. I don't think people realize what we lost on October 20, 1977. There will never be another band like Lynyrd Skynyrd. I'm blessed to have lived during the Skynyrd era. Best ever!

    I also love how Ronnie(at just about every show they did) just stood there barefoot with the mic stand in his hands and just sing his heart out with attitude and conviction(although sometimes when the guys did their solos, he would stick his tongue and make silly faces at them to mess with them.
