In my mind when you commit to a goal extra hard like that, you’re giving the opponent the opportunity to pivot and do something else. Sometimes I think it’s better to say, “Well, they might tie me here, but doing so might spread them too thin and prevent some other play”. In any case, 120 is a nice score by you so good to see it didn’t cost the game.
