- At HoW 2024 the Maslas Brothers gave us a peak at Modern Naval Warfare.
Viewers got a chance to see a simulated Harpoon attack on a Destroyer, countermeasure deployment, and a trailer of the US Navy.
The Maslas Bro's also answered questions about the depth of the simulation they are building for Modern Naval Warfare.

Hmmm it seeems its going to ne mainly America vs China. Are Russians and others like Uk, Japan etc.... going to be represented as well? If not at the beginning maybe later?
The host keeps referring to "Submarine Commander": I am under the impression the game is more than a mere "SSN Sim" (the P-8 scenario seems confirming it). At best: it's unclear. The fact that the press keeps pitting this title against Microprose' Sea Power leads me to the conclusion Modern Naval Warfare could be a "simpler" version of Command: Modern Operations. Is that right? 🤨
It's more a spiritual successor to Dangerous Waters than a strategy game.

Added this on 12/15/2021, almost 3 years ago and the most they have to continously show are the 3D models? This is the same stuff showcased a few months back. By the way, it said "Coming Soon" in 2021. So, please, stop telling the public to place on their wishlist years out and set real expectations for your loyal fans (Slitherine) about when stuff is releasing. I removed from my wishlist because of the fraudulent baiting. There's really nothing to see in this video that wasn't already showcased before. Beautiful models but give us a more accurate release date or change the "Coming Soon" to "To Be Announced" please.
To be honest it was Steam who actually changed any "To Be Announced" statements to "Coming Soon" automatically for reasons beyond me. Not for this game only, but we had the same issue.
@martinleidel that's actually incorrect. Many of my "Coming Soon" changed " To Be Announced", if the developers chose to change it. I think this is simply a cheap marketing ploy that gives developers and publishers a potential forecast of sales. Don't get me wrong, I want this title yesterday, hence my wishlisting 3 years ago. But this gestation period of scrap sharing is embarrassing. Just change it to TBA and be honest with your potential customer base, that's all.
@@matthew3509 Hmm. We had it set to "To Be Announced" and at some point Steam (not us) changed it to "Coming Soon". Weird.
@martinleidel still shows as Coming Soon, so nothing has changed. Interesting that none of my other wishlist games changed from To Be Announced to Coming Soon unless the developers made that change. Just saying.....

Sea Power is silly: diesel subs torpedoing & sinking a nuclear sub, for example
@@ireneuszpyc6684 What is silly in doing that? Of course a diesel sub can sink a nuclear one, the torpedoes are the same.
@@martinleidel after spending $3 billion/nuclear sub - don't you think it will be given attack subs around it, for protection? don't you think you would deal with a strike group?
@@ireneuszpyc6684 You know those cases when a swedish non-nuclear sub made it close to a US carrier? And with close I mean dead close within the protecting formation. Noboday heard it coming.
And what purpose would a group of subs have? They cannot communicate anyway to each other. An antire strike group is a different thing but as I said above, it doesn't help if they cannot detect you. It's not WWII anymore. If you take a German 212-A, good look in detecting it before you hear the incoming torpedoes. If the crew is good, your chances are slim even with active sonar.
@@martinleidel the difference between Sea Power game & history: only one sub had been torpedoed (in all of history), while in Sea Power you torpedo subs left, right & centre, every weekend, after a couple of beers
