November Rain is a classic. I recommend finding the live version with Elton John accompany on piano, and Slash gets up on the piano for his epic solo 🤘
GnR is my favorite all time band...when welcome to the jungle debuted on MTV..I had just gotten off work..it was 1:00 am and I fell in love with their music..I bought the cassette the very next morning...it came out at the perfect time in my life and fit me perfectly.
Guns N Roses was unique in the level of quality in the band members. You simply cannot debate who the greatest guitar player of all time is without discussing Slash. And Axl Rose is arguable the greatest male singer in history (which, for these purposes, kind only goes back to when we started recording music). The only person with a superior vocal range is Mariah Carey. And even then, Axl is just incredible versatile in style and performance.
Axl greatest male singer in history? Just two off the top of my head that blow him away are Freddie Mercury and Bing Crosby. Both sang in more genres and much better...and Freddie's vocal range is far superior. Axl is interesting for what he does, but would never consider him even a top 25 and probably not a top 50 singer in "history".
@@thomasreitemeyer4778 Freddie Mercury had a great voice and an impressive catalog, but his vocal range only cover three octaves compared to Axl Rose's five octave range. Bing Crosby was less than two octaves. While Axl's songs were more focused on a specific style, what he was capable of doing blows the other two away. It's like Picasso; just because he isn't famous for photo realistic paintings doesn't mean he couldn't do them. He just had his own artistic style.
@@TheNotoriousCheeto I hear what you’re saying. I stated “vocal range” incorrectly. My bad. What I meant was that Freddie Mercury had more of a range in the styles of music he could sing. Let’s say Axl is a Picasso and may have capabilities for other genres, but he didn’t do them so we don’t know if he actually could do them. Probably could, but we don’t know if he could sing opera, jazz, blues, etc. Freddie, Bing, and others not only had the capability to sing in other genres, they did it and excelled at them. To me that blows away what Axl did. Just like Picasso is not the greatest artist in history, neither is Axl “the greatest male singer in history”. In my opinion, any artist that can excel at multiple styles of painting is better than an artist who only excels at one kind of painting. And…if octave range is an indicator of being the best (I think there is more to being a great singer than that), then I guess Mike Patton (6 octaves), Rob Halford (6 octaves and same genre as Axl), Dimash Kudaiergen (6 octaves), Adam Lopez (6 octaves) are all better. If you want to get real crazy, the Guiness Book of World Records has Tim Storms at 9 or 10 octaves. I don’t think they’re better than Axl though. I agree Axl was a good singer, but I can’t agree he was “the greatest male singer in history”.
This album came out when I graduated high school. Although my favorite musical period was late 70s and early 80s, this wasn't too shabby either. We had GNR, Metallica, The Cult, INXS, U2, The Cure, Depeche Mode...good stuff!
Welcome to the Jungle is the first GNR song I heard. That and Paradise City were among their earliest and arguably, most recognizable hits. The riffs in Paradise City for me, are enjoyably aggressive.
The harder Guns N' Roses songs include - 'Welcome to the jungle'... 'Paradise city'... "It's so easy"... 'Rocket queen'... 'You could be mine'... 'Bad obsession'... Their ballads include - 'November rain'... "Don't cry"... 'Patience' ... 'Civil war'. Standout tracks are covers of "Live and let die" (Paul McCartney)... "Knockin' on heaven's door" (Bob Dylan)... 'Sympathy for the devil' (The Rolling Stones)

Guns N Roses just kind of had the perfect band and made the perfect album right off the bat that could never be topped. The Use Your Illusion albums were good and had many high points like November Rain, Estranged, and Don't Cry but they had a lot of filler too. I think they just hit so hard so fast and so early in their career and it was such a rock n roll whirlwind for young guys in their twenties that it was bound to implode. Glad G N R is back together touring with the guys sober or mostly sober but nothing will ever top this band in hard rock for how awesome their band was for that 5 or 6 year run in the late 80s and early 90s.

Songs like, Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, Patience, November Rain, Knockin On Heavens Door, Civil War, You Could Be Mine, Don’t Cry, Live and Let Die, and I know there are a few more. And Slash is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Can’t believe you e never heard of them, but it’s better late than never lol. Enjoy.

Now that you've done this song, there are a few more must-reactions: Patience, November Rain ... especially November Rain and with the video. Turn the volume up loud, the lights down, and don't even react ... just watch and listen.
If you watched the trailer to the new Thor Love and Thunder movie, they used the song in it. GnR were featured in a Dirty Harry movie called The Dead Pool. It stars Clint Eastwood. Their music is used within the movie, especially one of their other hits 'Welcome to the Jungle'. The band can also be seen in several scenes of the film.
Great job with your reaction to Sweet Child Of Mine from Guns and Rose the alternate video from Them .The director of the video is also the same one Who did Hit Me Baby One More Time from Britney Spears . Check out Don't Cry and November Rain and Estranged in that order .
I'm new to your channel but I looked through all your older videos and noticed that you're getting into the eighties metal and hard rock. I can guarantee without a shred of doubt that 'Pour some sugar on me' by Def Leppard is completely up your alley. Watch the official video. You referred to yourself earlier as 'basic white girl' , THAT is their anthem. (along with Don't stop believin' by Journey and Living on a prayer)
if this is your first reaction to Guns N' Roses then you are gonna enjoy there music alot. i reccomend you listen to Welcome To The Jungle, Paradise City, Patience and November Rain. those are one of there greatest hits!
Awww...I love kitty's!! I love cats too, and black cats are my fave. Growing up, my big sis had an all white female named puff! She had kittens on July 7 1970. One was all black, cept for a white diamond on his throat. His name was willy. He turned 7 yrs old, on the 7th day, 7th month of 1977. He was 13, when my older bros stupid great Dane attacked him when he was sleeping, or if would have went way different. Just wanted to share that.
You nailed it on the head, goosebumps. That’s how you know the gutsiest is good. I’ll second November Rain, more goosebumps. Knocking on Heaven’s Door and Estranged which Slashed says was the hardest of their songs to play.
Hell yeah they literally deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside a lot of the other older bands from that era. Even avenged sevenfold and nirvana does. Any bands that has created enough notoriety like they have and others have from their era too don't get me wrong they also deserve it to I mean look at AC/DC even though he deserve it too.
Watched a few of your reactions to rock guitar solos, and love that you have the same visceral reaction to them that I get. Here are some suggestions for future reactions I think you might like. Except where noted, I suggest to start with the studio or music video versions. AC/DC - Touch Too Much. A different singer (the original) and a solo that keeps ratcheting it up to the next impossible level. Black Sabbath - Lonely is the Word. Two treats here: Ronnie James Dio’s unparalleled voice, and two great solos from Tony Iommi in one song. Deep Purple - Highway Star. One organ solo from the maestro, Jon Lord, and one iconic guitar solo from one of the true guitar greats: Ritchie Blackmore. Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera. You might find the first part very fast-paced and heavy, but you’ll be rewarded by the duelling guitar solos in the middle section. Judas Priest - Beyond the Realms of Death. Another double whammy with Rob Halford’s incredible range and belting, and not one, but two fabulous guitar solos. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird (live). Long, long, long, series of continuous blues guitar breaks from 3 separate guitarists. Marillion - Incubus. Steve Rothery’s guitar solo here, the centrepiece of a classic crescendo, where the intensity keeps growing, shows why he’s the king of the “weeping” guitar. Rainbow - A Light in the Black. Ronnie James Dio, again, and Ritchie Blackmore, again. A brilliant combination. Many people would choose Stargazer first, but this one has more for the guitar lover.
Yes Guns N´ Roses anything from 1985-1996 last album Chinese Democracy is weird try Yesterday and that video ALSO black and White , Don´t Cry, Paradise City yes any older song
YAS!!!! November Rain!!! Also: Rammstein: Du Hast (Paris) Aerosmith: Dream On AC/DC: Thun.....oh, you did that one. 2Cellos version of Thunderstruck Steve 'N Seagulls version of Thunderstruck
Hi Ellierose, nice name. Today is the first time I've seen you do a reaction video and I'm hooked and subbed. I'm trying to place your accent. What region of the UK. I should be better with British accents as I drove British soldiers from the Suffield base here in Canada in my dads Taxi. Some of their accents were so thick that when they were drunk I couldn't understand more than a couple of words and had to get their less drunk mates to translate. If I remember right it was the N.E. accents that were the hardest to understand. 😵😵💫🥳🌷
Here some songs of this era: Guns n' Roses: November Rain, Don't Cry, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, Since I Don't Have You Bon Jovi: Always, Bed of Roses, Santa Fe, Never Say Goodbye, In These Arms, Someday I'll be Saturday Night Bryan Adams: Do I have to say the words, Summer of '69, Straight from the Heart, Please Forgive Me Joan Jett and the Blackhearts: I Hate Myself For Loving You Roxette: It Must Have Been Love, Listen To Your Heart, Spending My Time Eagles: Hotel California Heart: All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You, I Want Your World To Turn damn and so much more...
the legend/background behind this video is freaking bonkers lol. its also the guitar riff that started the breakup of the band because of how much Slash hated it.
slash only said that at first he didn't like the song because he was joking at the time of making that riff, he said that later he started to like it, but that was never the reason for their breakup
There is a story of the ending of this song. As they were writing it they didn't know how to end it. Thus the "where do we go now" 😆 Don't know how true it is though.
I'll vote that you listen to November Rain next. Curious to see what you think of the official video (with orchestra) and the story in the music video thats happening. As well as the music and guitarist (Slash is his name) that you like so much.
Try Since I've Been Loving You live by Led Zeppelin. Either Live version from Earls Court in London or in Madison Square Garden in 1973 are both well worth a listen.
So you enjoyed the guitar Solo from one of the Greatest Guitarist of All Time he would be Slash . The lead singer who is the greatest front Man of All Time would be Axl Rose.
Slash is in the mix, but there are many who proceeded him that are a cut above, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck to name a few. As for the greatest front man that one is easy Freddie Mercury.

You should react to the band Tool the song Lateralus.
Omg love ur reaction do more guns n roses songs!! Especially the live performances
The whole album has hits.
Great job with your reaction to Sweet Child Of Mine from Guns and Rose the alternate video from Them .The director of the video is also the same one Who did Hit Me Baby One More Time from Britney Spears . Check out Don't Cry and November Rain and Estranged in that order .
November rains is here if I'm not very much mistaken
I'm new to your channel but I looked through all your older videos and noticed that you're getting into the eighties metal and hard rock. I can guarantee without a shred of doubt that 'Pour some sugar on me' by Def Leppard is completely up your alley. Watch the official video. You referred to yourself earlier as 'basic white girl' , THAT is their anthem. (along with Don't stop believin' by Journey and Living on a prayer)
It is a very iconic guitar intro and solo too. Not to surprising the intro sounds familiar
Axl was the last rockstar
Wowwww awesome 👌 😎 🤘🎸 rock on
if this is your first reaction to Guns N' Roses then you are gonna enjoy there music alot. i reccomend you listen to Welcome To The Jungle, Paradise City, Patience and November Rain. those are one of there greatest hits!
Definitely "This I Love"! Another ballad, takes any other of theirs by far
Written for Erin everly daughter of Don everly. Axle Rose singer and slash guitarist.
Oh my there’s so many. From the same album (Appetite for Destruction) check out Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle and Rocket Queen.
Great reaction! Please do next: their music videos for Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, and Patience, for starters!

You should watch "November Rain"; For me the most beautiful song in the world, and the video clip is so iconic !!
I think you will like Welcome to the Jungle, November Rain, or their Knocking on Heaven’s Door cover
Beautiful reaction😍😍😍😍😍😍
Hi Ellierose, nice name. Today is the first time I've seen you do a reaction video and I'm hooked and subbed. I'm trying to place your accent. What region of the UK. I should be better with British accents as I drove British soldiers from the Suffield base here in Canada in my dads Taxi. Some of their accents were so thick that when they were drunk I couldn't understand more than a couple of words and had to get their less drunk mates to translate. If I remember right it was the N.E. accents that were the hardest to understand. 😵😵💫🥳🌷
Here some songs of this era:
Guns n' Roses: November Rain, Don't Cry, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, Since I Don't Have You
Bon Jovi: Always, Bed of Roses, Santa Fe, Never Say Goodbye, In These Arms, Someday I'll be Saturday Night
Bryan Adams: Do I have to say the words, Summer of '69, Straight from the Heart, Please Forgive Me
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts: I Hate Myself For Loving You
Roxette: It Must Have Been Love, Listen To Your Heart, Spending My Time
Eagles: Hotel California
Heart: All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You, I Want Your World To Turn
damn and so much more...
the legend/background behind this video is freaking bonkers lol. its also the guitar riff that started the breakup of the band because of how much Slash hated it.
slash only said that at first he didn't like the song because he was joking at the time of making that riff, he said that later he started to like it, but that was never the reason for their breakup
There is a story of the ending of this song. As they were writing it they didn't know how to end it. Thus the "where do we go now" 😆 Don't know how true it is though.
Paradise city, Civil War, nightrain, you’re crazy from the lies album, coma, locomotive. There are so many you could get lost in them.
if someone told me they had never heard Sweet Child o Mine my next question to them would be so you have never turned on a radio before?
3:37,,,slash solo guitar make her eargasm,,,,,Oouuuuuwwhh,,!!!
I would have guessed "Welcome To The Jungle" would be next.
You're so pretty, you're eyes are beautiful 😍, I guess you already know it, you see your face everyday on the mirror 🤩
@@vernhoke7730 ok you can have your opinion on that but I will go with mine .
@@ericgaudet5488 that's fine.
I like GnR, but my musical tastes go back decades before they hit the scene.
I grew up with the guys I listed in the sixties and seventies.
there was a cover of this song sung by Sheyl Crow and that song was used on the movie Big Daddy. This is one of my favorite songs
This song is used in Marvel's Thor Love & Thunder
Nice reaction. You look like you just stepped out of the 70's. That's just the thought that popped into my mind when I saw you.
Hi Ellierose, Guns And Roses. Are awesome and a song you should do a reaction to is. Welcome To The Jungle. Keep up the good work from Dave in Australia.

Sweet meow of mine 😀😊
Listen Welcome to the Jungle, Civil War, Patience, Paradice City....
give a try listen Alip bata Rendetion on this song 😎🔥
I would be interested in your reaction to Tom Petty, some popular songs would be ‘Mary Janes last dance’ or ‘won’t back down’ but one of my personal favourites is ‘something good is coming’. If you like them it’s an amazingly huge rabbit hole to fall down
You should react to the band Tool the song Lateralus. The song is based off the Fibonacci sequence, Tool is an American Progressive Hard Rock/Metal band known for deep intelligent lyrics, longer songs with odd time signatures. Their last record Fear Inoculum out sold Taylor Swift’s album that was out at the same time (August 2019)
Great Song
Great Album
Great Band
Next Song to react to
“Welcome to the Jungle” or
“Paradise City”
Both Absolutely Amazing Songs
Can you react to avenged sevenfold? Or the four horsemen by Metallica?
