Hey Vince! The ice sauna is now an annual event. This year in Duluth and Minneapolis in fact! The wood ceiling can be minimal thicknesses. Just enough to keep the heat in.
Great question Nick! Ice has amazing thermal insulating properties. So we are capable of reaching temps of 150 F. And as you might expect the internal walls begins to melt with each day. Thus, our operations for our Ice sauna experiences creates the cold exposure to the heat of the wood fired saunas adjacent to the structure here. People enjoy the cold of sitting in a giant ice cube. Come join us in the heart of winter for it. 🥶🔥
