    Good use of pruning pieces. Now I have another thing on my list of things to turn. As always, good video!

    You are doing on purpose with a skew that which I usually do by accident. Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

    Your flowers make a great craft show demo idea. Nice alternative to making tops.

      You are right, thanks for the idea. The challenge could be getting fresh green shoots.

    Very nice demo -this would help sell vases and an easy way to use up smaller scraps. Thanks for sharing your work!

    That really was fun, Mike.Speed 2,500 plus? I've seen Christmas trees turned slowly in Lime that way, and,of course, mushrooms, which don't excite me. Must have a go at this, having plenty of green stock from wild trees in the garden. Thanks, Bernard.

      Glad you enjoyed it. Having green shoots handy is essential.

    I first learned this technique after I bought a set of Colwin Way signature Skews. He put out a video on using the skews and these flowers were one of the projects that he used. I've also made these with a trumpet in the center. You make that first before pealing back the flowers. I've also used an air brush sprayer to put color dye on them. Great project though.

      I will have to look for his video. I missed that one. I just bought an air brush!

    Neat idea! Could you of turned the back of the flower first and then made the petals? Might be easier?

    • @MikePeaceWoodturning
      @MikePeaceWoodturning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly, but it would not provide any support for the cut.

    That looks like the Record Power SC chuck. What jaws are you using?

    • @MikePeaceWoodturning
      @MikePeaceWoodturning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are pin jaws. Also great for drilling a 1 1/8" hole for initial bowl mounting.

    I would love to see a flower made with the camera looking down to show the turner’s eye view.
