DC did not cancel Young Justice. That was entirely the work of Cartoon Network which forced the show to be cancelled because it didn't sell enough toys and CN gets a portion of those proceeds. CN also had rights to keep the show cancelled so that it couldn't go to another station.

I can understand that it might have been a bit cliche tough vigilante story, but changing it to "she accidentally killed her own husband while wearing bunny slippers" is incredibly pathetic, and much worse than the original one.
