  • Come on old world blues I thought this dlc was supposed to be a good time. They're just floating brains in jars how can it be this sad? If you'll excuse me I'll be in the sink talking to the toaster.

    When people say Old World Blues is just dumb comedy, while in reality it's just a thin layer hiding a much darker reality.

      That's why I love it so much. It's almost like the Think Tanks are ghosts. They were stripped of most of their memories and personality traits years and years ago and now they're just husks of their former selves who've essentially been haunting the Big Empty for hundreds of years now, unaware of the outside world going on without them. They were terrible people, but it's still a little sad to think about.

      @Keegan Young to be fair they actually explained it.....in two dlcs "sigh" which was dumb.
      the mainline robobrains that were massed produced dont tend to have personality as they have been cut and scrubbed out much like the warhammer 40k servitor creation process but just like that sometimes bits get left behind normally rage or anger at what happend to them a few however retain enough to form a personality though basic.
      but just putting someone brain in a biogel tank and putting it on a robot results nearlly 100 percent in a normal person in a robot body such as the robobrain vault of course some may suffer mental problems with sever age as even biogel does not work forever.
      the brains at the big empty were altered like the mainline robobrains secretly by mobius aka they retained there personality but to hyperexagerated degrees and losses of perception to percive things beyond the dome hence why they all seem so outlandish and crazy..

    When you've been disconnected from human sensations for hundreds of years, slowly decaying, spiraling into scientific experiments that make less and less sense, but it's all you have. Then, a Lobotomite brings back a bowl, a simple plastic bowl, from an experiment you'd half-forgotten. And the emotion steals in like a flicker in your circuits. You don't recognize it aft first, so you try to process it as data input. But it isn't.
    Then, you FEEL, for the first time in a very, very long time. How exquisitely painful, how wrenching, that must be, to know you sentenced your truest, oldest, friend, to a horrible death. And Gabe loved you anyway, because even locked away from a body and emotion and everything his doggie brain might have recognized, he still knew you were HIS human. Do you live with that pain, because it is real? Or do you forget, the way you've forgotten so much? Because it is easier.

    Is it really better to let the dog live as being chemmed up, to the point it's become a monster? I'm conflicted; I killed Gabe in self defense, but I can see why people would desperately want to avoid harming him.
    It feels almost wrong to leave the poor boy alive with his brain chemistry being so messed up, however...an animal that went through so much abuse, can it be saved, or left to be feral, or is it better to put the creature down after how much his mind has been warped?
    Legit, I'm indecisive on how to feel about that situation....beyond the fact that Borous never deserved him...

    • @MyGamerforlife
      @MyGamerforlife 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know either, now. But if you save Gabe and spare the think tank, it’s possible that Borous might try to save gave on his own.
      One can hope, at least.

    Spoilers ahead: honestly old world blues is such a horrid dlc. I mean when you go into it you think it’s all this wackiness and you read the terminals and actually talk to all the doctors including möbius it’s a fucked up story. Mobius had to lobotomize all his friends into these laughable robotic scientists because he knew they’d destroy everything if they ever left the think tank. It’s why they all act just so weird and out of the oridinary, why they can’t remember certain words or say things weirdly, he literally destroyed their brains into almost delusional mush
