Is there a mod that where you can't kill the vampires that are not part of clan volkhihar, but they submit and become part of the clan? They take a kneel when reached a low health, such at 1% health. And, when you leave the place, wait 4 hours and they are friendly and don't attack. There are caves that have alchemy ingredients that can be harvested, that they live in < as an example. Also, they make money in various caves. That money could belong to dragon-born as tribute, for conquering. To have a courier deliver the gold to you, or have it given to you by a maid at the vampire castle next time you show up. There is that mod called banner lord, but have 1 for vampires.
I don't even play Skyrim actively anymore, but I always come back for Heavy's videos - at this point they're more like art than a Skyrim video, literally masterpieces 🔥
yeah, it's really to bad skyrim doesn't feel anything like what heavy's videos make it feel as. what he did with the music and the reveial of coldhaven made it feel that much more magical. but the mod just by itself is rather boring and it's just beautiful to look at with nothing much to be desired after which is sad because it desperately needs a story to be told and it needs to connect in some ways with the vanilla game to not feel isolated from that story. i would like to hear the story of Harkon, like what has he been doing for all these thousands of years? was he just staying in his castle the whole time never leaving never doing anything like bethesda made the player believe? or was there some kind of story of conflicts of other vampire factions and wars where he concurred all of them and they all became within his control? the kind of story telling that explains how things might have gone within that time, so his story doesn't feel empty and boring like it did in skyrim. i mean the story of him sending his vampires out and about in search for serana, only tells half of the story and doesn't really explain much outside of this, i guess we could use our imagination and believe that he sired many to search for her, but in the mean time his sired vamps decided to sire their own which diluted the vampire bloodline and created other version vampires, which at some point decided to rebel against Harkon and started wars that were in different locations, maybe Harkon hunted down some of these vampires, all i ask is something believable, something engaging, something that fills that gap of history that was never talked about in the game, something interesting.
@@5226-p1e I agree completely about a connection to Harkon being told, and even more story to the dawguard and Isran himself because I would imagine he was sort of a "Van Helsing" character, always going solo because he wasn't a big fan of the Vigilants, could be that he used to be one in his youth and something went awry. With Harkon and the rest of the Clan, I have a feeling that they hold some power in Skyrims politics, maybe some relations with the court mage in Solitude. And with them always having to go out and find "cattle" someone would surely take note of all these missing people.
@@SirCbreeze the game had a great concept surrounding vengalml and the other vampire within Harkons court, they always had a sort of spat against one another, i mean some of it was because one of them was an elf, but they were both vampires serving under lord Harkon. they always had their own idea's in how things should work within the castle and what they would do if they were in charge, which means that they were always trying to one up each other or possibly get the other one in trouble with lord Harkon, so that he might take action and get rid of the other so that he could serve under Harkon. which also makes me wonder why these two seem to have hierarchy within the faction, and why Harkon chose them to serve under him, maybe there is a story of when they were alive and they both were very influential individuals that Harkon admired in some way and decided to turn them into his allies to run some of the proceedings within his court. i know somewhere in the lore it's explained that Harkon was once a king and ruled over a significant portion of skyrim, but it makes me wonder if some tensions were risen within skyrim that caused a war, but Harkon possibly made some friends that perhaps did his dirty work in destroying other factions before he became a vampire, maybe he used that opportunity to receive his gift in vampirism. i'm just spit balling ideas here, of what could have possibly happened, i guess i'm kind of writing a fan fiction as we discuss this idea.
@@SirCbreeze also like your idea with Isran, we know he used to be within the vigilantes, but they split when Isran decided that the vigilantes didn't do enough, the weird thing about the vigilantes is that they were doing more than the dawnguard, because they were focusing on all manor of evil, Isran was only focusing on the vampire problem. but i will say Isran had the right idea in how to protect his members in giving them real armor instead of how the vigilantes worked lol. the vigilantes were using robes and only wearing armor on their hands and boots with no helmet or chest armor, i guess their idea was so that they could only wear their robes and use flesh spells for protection only and so that they could maybe keep the weight down so they could move faster? idk what their motive was, but the vigilantes were very ineffective in how they did some things. but then again i don't think they had a plan in protecting the realm properly either, like how did they run their organization? how did they make money? did the empire fund them in some way. or did they get funding from the jarl's within their perspective holds? we know some of these factions are started by religion, but that's not really helpful in the end, they would have to have some help in getting some of their gear, maybe the collage helps in the regard with the robes and maybe they get some of their magic training from a retired teacher from the collage who lives with the vigilantes. but then again there is also that other faction that kills werewolves, they function almost like a bandit faction, only they have a vendetta of killing werewolves only, but they get their silver weapons from somewhere same as the dawnguard, i mean maybe the dawnguard supply them with silver weapons, but their silver weapons are very specific in how they look. none of these factions really have a history in where they come from and how they were founded and funded. so something could even be explained in all of this information in how they exist and how they are somewhat on the same side but they are for some reason separate from each other organization, i believe they should all come together and make a massive organization dedicated into killing all manner of evil as what the vigilantes wanted to do at first, but pull their resources together, with training to basically become a faction to be something that can actually be very effective at keeping the peace.
For those who don't know, I highly recommend Vampiric Thirst Reborn. It's a really great mod and you can build your own vampire like if you want a berserker style vampire or a Magic focused vampire or even a sneaky vampire thief, you can

I wish there were more mods for roleplaying as a vampire, I dont really care too much about player homes or rebalancing of the same abilities, i want more ways to feed and progress as a vampire that makes u feel more and more evil as you do it, like doing rituals or sacrifices or something like that. same goes for necromancy, id like to make spells and abilities feel like they cost something, like having to use my health pool to do more damage or to have to prepare a sacrifice at an altar where I have to charm 10 people into getting sacrficed and then get persecuted by vampire hunters/ vigilants of stendarr. thats the kind of mods that would blow my mind and make a playthrough amazing
better vampires and sacrosacnt have some of the progress stuff you are looking for you use them together with a patch. You can get stronger the more you feed and gain new abilities and can turn people into vampires or thralls
Also check out I think it’s called beluea sanguinare it’s a vampire mod that’s realistic to gothic vampire lore. Can’t feed on those with garlic on them (adds it to leveled lists) and can’t enter someone’s house without permission. Works with just knock
Better vampires makes u feel like true evil vampire, u have to feed to get stronger, u can feed dead corpses and in other ways , u can also feed as vampire lord by using the grab spell while the target is in air u can activate the target and bite it this makes u don’t care about good or bad guys since you only care about getting stronger, any human npc is now a target, I call some places “hotspots” for feeding its generally stormcloak or imperial camps that’s full of npcs
4:59 Better vampires is better. Especially with better vampire npcs. All vampires now use a lot of vampire powers as well as enchanted gear. You can also turn others into vampires as well without those pesky volkihar's vampire lord nonsense. You can create your vampire cattle and even extract blood which grants blood potions. You can even drink blood from the recently deceased bodies and even turn them into vampires in the process.

Hey, HB! Another great video. Since we're on this subject, I'd like to share my most recent roleplay ideas. I just started a new playthrough with a sort of "dark vigilant" character; a seductive bloodsucker who uses her powers for riches and glory, and ends up saving a lot of people as a "side effect". She's not necessarily a wonderful person and very much enjoys eternal life and the taste of blood, but would rather try to mingle with society and be adored as a hero than hide all the time out of fear of being hunted like an animal. And she's veeeery good at masking her true self. Raven Castle (one of my all time favorite mods) is supposed to be her home in the future, representing the secret empire she's building. But in order to reach that goal, she must first and foremost get rid of the competition... even if it means getting on the mortal's good side and working with them. The Volkihars are first in line. By Oblivion, she's so damn ambitious she would take on Molag Bal himself if that meant she would be the absolute top dog in the underworld! To her, the vampiric patron is a fool, as true strenght is shown by facing stronger opponents, not picking on weaker ones - just as the weak should bow down to the strong, but also be protected. So far, the most complex character I've created in 10 years of playing Skyrim. And it's so damn fun!
My planned Vampire build is an Argonian Nightmage, who keeps a corrupted Vigilant as her bodyguard. (Follower decked out in Corrupted Vigil Armor and wielding Pendulum from the Royal Armory mod) She also enjoys the perks of eternal life and feasting on her enemies, but after joining the College of Winterhold she becomes more of a scholar, and even before then had a keen awareness of mortality due to her devotion to Sithis. ("Everyone dies, why spend that finite time being rude?") She is also keenly aware that immortal does not mean unkillable.
Good to see Coldhaven got some spotlight here. If you ever going to make a 2nd part (or more) of this, I would suggest the following quite less known mods; 1. Lurking in the shadows 2. Morrowind vampire clans returned 3. The dark triumvirate 4. Volthar manor revisited 5. Wulftur Kiras merged 6. Dark envoy-vampire powers 7. Dealing with Daedra (despite the title, it also has vampire contents in it, among many others) 8. XamMaximus Secret-Act 1 9. XamMaximus-the Prototype's Deception-Act 2
Always when I think of Skyrim vampires, I wish that the Sanguinaire mod could have been completed. Sadly, the project seemed to get too overwhelming for the modder and was discontinued.
I always liked vampires but in vanilla Skyrim playing as a vampire sucked ( unless your using the necromage vampire glitch) so thanks for the video and keep up the good work.
I have few mods that makes vampire truly walking nightmares , making them faster, stealthed, summon their own minions, attack faster and more aggressive in groups, they’re not another types of bandits with glowing eyes they’re actual challenge

i would love to see a video for werewolves theyre such a underrated aspect of skyrim unlike with the vampires that have a fleshed out lore, faction and more perks.
I think Sacrosanct is still my preferred vampire overhaul. Scion kind of looks like a Lite version of it though. Sacrosanct does allow you to get stupidly powerful, but it requires you to put in a fair bit of effort and time in for those rewards. And it has a feature I really appreciate: being able to avoid most of the negative effects of sunlight by sticking to the shadows. One of the fun but degenerate things you can do is travel across the various holds, sneak into the guard barracks, and drain them to slowly build up a permanent boost to your stats.
I was just thinking of reinstalling my skyrim and starting a new game, this video is great for my reboot. I really appreciate the hard work you put into the video!
Great video Heavy Burns! Love your content and keep at it. I do have to say though that the mace of molag bal is a vanilla item, not added by a mod. Also some other great vampire mods are Better Vampires, Better Vampire Npcs, and Sacrosanct.
For me, it's Sacrosanct, Ordinator, Humanoid Vampire Lords with an animation kit on top, Animated Wings and some vampire armors, and then some smaller stuff like a vampire lair / hideout style small player home, animated Mace of Molag Bal, Vampire Lairs of Skyrim that adds a vampire lair in every major city with a merchant that sells blood potions and some crafting stations and a coffin, and I'm set to go. Also, one I added more recently is one that makes vampires fight with claw swipes instead of fists.
One feature of the Cold Haven mod that I find to be under-rated is that you can actually kill everyone in it -- which means that technically you can download this to treat it as one giant vampire-themed dungeon. Also note that there are two other mods by the same author that serve as a lead-in into Cold Haven so if you play those as well, it'll really feel a lot like you're following a trail to uncover, and then raid, the city. Having said that I'm always a little disappointed that there's only one mod I'm aware of that's intended as a sequel to the Dawnguard story, and it was pretty short and is no longer on the Nexus. Otherwise the closest you can come, I suppose, is to kind of combine Cold Haven (and its lead-ins) with Vigilant.
Watch out for this one vampire mod that gives you the ability to walk on water. It’s super glitchy and can’t be turned off or scaled back, so it prevents you from being able to swim. This can get in the way of searching for sunken treasure.
there is actually, I forget the name, but basically, if you get attacked by a vampire, you would wake up in Whiterun's catacombs in a coffin with a book telling you the various vampire clans and their abilities, since in addition to that wake up scene, you can be 3 major clans, Volkihar, Cyrodillic and Lamae's line from ESO, each have their own seperate abiilities and attributes as well, now, I think only the Volkihar clan and Cyrodillic one makes you wake up in a coffin in Whiterun, for Lamae's line, you have to be infected with her strain from a Blood fiend, similar to how its achieved in ESO, but you don't go through the ritual, you just have to find Lamae herself and have her give you her strain directly before the virus turns you into a Blood Fiend, its a pretty interesting vampire line, that this modder translated into Skyrim very well
I hope the next TES game does a proper Unarmed skill tree which would be usable for vampires with extra benefits, that not even Khajiits could match. Magic suits them, doing a warrior vampire can be really cool (sword, shield and heavy armor for instance) but running around slaying things with vampire claws would be awesome. Like Detlaff in TW3

I prefer Sacrosanct over Scion. The Blood Magic you learn in Mortal Form is just fun, being able to level up by drinking the blood of powerful people so eventually gain immunity to the Sun and even a better thought out Vampire Lord perk tree. Plus there's a patch for Volkihar Armor to interact with Sacrosanct and have the Abyss Walker Legendary armor make you immune to the sun before you've reached the proper Blue Blood level.
@@Daniel-ds5ld It is and it's perks help with other spell mods that use a Life Drain mechanic, like Darenii's Bloodmoon, but I like the idea of leveling up my vampire to become more powerful. It almost seems like cheating to become a Vampire Lord when I'm still a fledgling.
Nothing on Serana, Clan Volkihar, Castle Volkihar, Movarth & Alva, or even Babette? A few more mods I would recommend are the Vampirism/Lycanthropy first person POV mod to make it easier to use your diabolical powers in confined spaces, a mod that enables Serana to feed and transform when necessary, the Castle Volkihar rebuilt/restored mod, the mod that makes vampires take direct damage from the sun and Tainted Blood, which allows the Dragonborn to become a Vampire/Werewolf/Lich hybrid.
I personally use Sacrilege (as well as sun damage addon) and an oldrim mod called Corpse Harvesting Gear. The latter can be used on dead bodies to collect ingredients for a potion that will turn you into a vampire, if you would rather not go about it by getting attacked. I also use Frozen Electrocuted Combustion, which has a custom affect for drained NPCs. For armor, DX Necromaner is good. A new one that just came out is Twilight princess armour mashup. DX Dark Knight and [Kirax] Evil Lady work too. DCR - King Crusader for male vampires. Skip Vampire Lord Tutorial is another great mod that will give you an option as to whether you want to learn the basics from Harkon. Better Vampires NPCs is an overhaul of their skills and magic. Using this will make it challenging to raid a vampire cave. Bloodbond - contract with the vampire lets you feed off companions.
Sacrosanct is a good vampire overhaul if you're looking for immersion and challenge, Better Vampires is tops though for the power fantasy (also corpse feeding is fantastic). I'll have to check out Scion next time to compare it against the top dogs

There are a couple of mods that let you join and complete the Dawnguard side of the questline as a vampire.

this makes u don’t care about good or bad guys since you only care about getting stronger, any human npc is now a target, I call some places “hotspots” for feeding its generally stormcloak or imperial camps that’s full of npcs
4:59 Better vampires is better. Especially with better vampire npcs. All vampires now use a lot of vampire powers as well as enchanted gear. You can also turn others into vampires as well without those pesky volkihar's vampire lord nonsense. You can create your vampire cattle and even extract blood which grants blood potions. You can even drink blood from the recently deceased bodies and even turn them into vampires in the process.
Better vampires is just better

@@Nairneh Unfortunately the compatibility pack for BV and Sacrosanct guts most of Sacrosanct's features. You'd be better off playing with one or the other.

Hey, HB! Another great video. Since we're on this subject, I'd like to share my most recent roleplay ideas.
I just started a new playthrough with a sort of "dark vigilant" character; a seductive bloodsucker who uses her powers for riches and glory, and ends up saving a lot of people as a "side effect". She's not necessarily a wonderful person and very much enjoys eternal life and the taste of blood, but would rather try to mingle with society and be adored as a hero than hide all the time out of fear of being hunted like an animal. And she's veeeery good at masking her true self. Raven Castle (one of my all time favorite mods) is supposed to be her home in the future, representing the secret empire she's building. But in order to reach that goal, she must first and foremost get rid of the competition... even if it means getting on the mortal's good side and working with them. The Volkihars are first in line. By Oblivion, she's so damn ambitious she would take on Molag Bal himself if that meant she would be the absolute top dog in the underworld! To her, the vampiric patron is a fool, as true strenght is shown by facing stronger opponents, not picking on weaker ones - just as the weak should bow down to the strong, but also be protected. So far, the most complex character I've created in 10 years of playing Skyrim. And it's so damn fun!

My planned Vampire build is an Argonian Nightmage, who keeps a corrupted Vigilant as her bodyguard. (Follower decked out in Corrupted Vigil Armor and wielding Pendulum from the Royal Armory mod) She also enjoys the perks of eternal life and feasting on her enemies, but after joining the College of Winterhold she becomes more of a scholar, and even before then had a keen awareness of mortality due to her devotion to Sithis. ("Everyone dies, why spend that finite time being rude?") She is also keenly aware that immortal does not mean unkillable.
Good to see Coldhaven got some spotlight here. If you ever going to make a 2nd part (or more) of this, I would suggest the following quite less known mods;
1. Lurking in the shadows
2. Morrowind vampire clans returned
3. The dark triumvirate
4. Volthar manor revisited
5. Wulftur Kiras merged
6. Dark envoy-vampire powers
7. Dealing with Daedra (despite the title, it also has vampire contents in it, among many others)
8. XamMaximus Secret-Act 1
9. XamMaximus-the Prototype's Deception-Act 2

Always when I think of Skyrim vampires, I wish that the Sanguinaire mod could have been completed. Sadly, the project seemed to get too overwhelming for the modder and was discontinued.

I have few mods that makes vampire truly walking nightmares , making them faster, stealthed, summon their own minions, attack faster and more aggressive in groups, they’re not another types of bandits with glowing eyes they’re actual challenge

Something I wish was changed is that drinking blood makes you less of a vampire. Your powers should INCREASE by drinking blood, not decrease.
i would love to see a video for werewolves theyre such a underrated aspect of skyrim unlike with the vampires that have a fleshed out lore, faction and more perks.

I think Sacrosanct is still my preferred vampire overhaul. Scion kind of looks like a Lite version of it though.
Sacrosanct does allow you to get stupidly powerful, but it requires you to put in a fair bit of effort and time in for those rewards.
And it has a feature I really appreciate: being able to avoid most of the negative effects of sunlight by sticking to the shadows.
One of the fun but degenerate things you can do is travel across the various holds, sneak into the guard barracks, and drain them to slowly build up a permanent boost to your stats.
Sacrilege is the "official" lite version of Sacrosanct, like Vokrii is to Ordinator. Scion is the SimonRim counterpart.

Great video Heavy Burns! Love your content and keep at it. I do have to say though that the mace of molag bal is a vanilla item, not added by a mod. Also some other great vampire mods are Better Vampires, Better Vampire Npcs, and Sacrosanct.

For me, it's Sacrosanct, Ordinator, Humanoid Vampire Lords with an animation kit on top, Animated Wings and some vampire armors, and then some smaller stuff like a vampire lair / hideout style small player home, animated Mace of Molag Bal, Vampire Lairs of Skyrim that adds a vampire lair in every major city with a merchant that sells blood potions and some crafting stations and a coffin, and I'm set to go.
Also, one I added more recently is one that makes vampires fight with claw swipes instead of fists.
Blood magic lord and ageless vampire on the thumbnail got me excited for a minute. Rip legends.
One feature of the Cold Haven mod that I find to be under-rated is that you can actually kill everyone in it -- which means that technically you can download this to treat it as one giant vampire-themed dungeon. Also note that there are two other mods by the same author that serve as a lead-in into Cold Haven so if you play those as well, it'll really feel a lot like you're following a trail to uncover, and then raid, the city.
Having said that I'm always a little disappointed that there's only one mod I'm aware of that's intended as a sequel to the Dawnguard story, and it was pretty short and is no longer on the Nexus. Otherwise the closest you can come, I suppose, is to kind of combine Cold Haven (and its lead-ins) with Vigilant.
Coldhaven Takeover is a mod specifically for Vampire Hunters.

Watch out for this one vampire mod that gives you the ability to walk on water. It’s super glitchy and can’t be turned off or scaled back, so it prevents you from being able to swim. This can get in the way of searching for sunken treasure.

there is actually, I forget the name, but basically, if you get attacked by a vampire, you would wake up in Whiterun's catacombs in a coffin with a book telling you the various vampire clans and their abilities, since in addition to that wake up scene, you can be 3 major clans, Volkihar, Cyrodillic and Lamae's line from ESO, each have their own seperate abiilities and attributes as well, now, I think only the Volkihar clan and Cyrodillic one makes you wake up in a coffin in Whiterun, for Lamae's line, you have to be infected with her strain from a Blood fiend, similar to how its achieved in ESO, but you don't go through the ritual, you just have to find Lamae herself and have her give you her strain directly before the virus turns you into a Blood Fiend, its a pretty interesting vampire line, that this modder translated into Skyrim very well
I hope the next TES game does a proper Unarmed skill tree which would be usable for vampires with extra benefits, that not even Khajiits could match.
Magic suits them, doing a warrior vampire can be really cool (sword, shield and heavy armor for instance) but running around slaying things with vampire claws would be awesome. Like Detlaff in TW3

I prefer Sacrosanct over Scion. The Blood Magic you learn in Mortal Form is just fun, being able to level up by drinking the blood of powerful people so eventually gain immunity to the Sun and even a better thought out Vampire Lord perk tree. Plus there's a patch for Volkihar Armor to interact with Sacrosanct and have the Abyss Walker Legendary armor make you immune to the sun before you've reached the proper Blue Blood level.

@@Daniel-ds5ld It is and it's perks help with other spell mods that use a Life Drain mechanic, like Darenii's Bloodmoon, but I like the idea of leveling up my vampire to become more powerful. It almost seems like cheating to become a Vampire Lord when I'm still a fledgling.

Nothing on Serana, Clan Volkihar, Castle Volkihar, Movarth & Alva, or even Babette? A few more mods I would recommend are the Vampirism/Lycanthropy first person POV mod to make it easier to use your diabolical powers in confined spaces, a mod that enables Serana to feed and transform when necessary, the Castle Volkihar rebuilt/restored mod, the mod that makes vampires take direct damage from the sun and Tainted Blood, which allows the Dragonborn to become a Vampire/Werewolf/Lich hybrid.

You missed a chance to highlight the unbelivably good vampire home mod Krovaxis by Slimesire, same person behind Identity Crisis.
I personally use Sacrilege (as well as sun damage addon) and an oldrim mod called Corpse Harvesting Gear. The latter can be used on dead bodies to collect ingredients for a potion that will turn you into a vampire, if you would rather not go about it by getting attacked.
I also use Frozen Electrocuted Combustion, which has a custom affect for drained NPCs. For armor, DX Necromaner is good. A new one that just came out is Twilight princess armour mashup. DX Dark Knight and [Kirax] Evil Lady work too. DCR - King Crusader for male vampires.
Skip Vampire Lord Tutorial is another great mod that will give you an option as to whether you want to learn the basics from Harkon.
Better Vampires NPCs is an overhaul of their skills and magic. Using this will make it challenging to raid a vampire cave.
Bloodbond - contract with the vampire lets you feed off companions.
Sacrosanct is a good vampire overhaul if you're looking for immersion and challenge, Better Vampires is tops though for the power fantasy (also corpse feeding is fantastic). I'll have to check out Scion next time to compare it against the top dogs

I love these videos. I'm on XB currently so I'm limited to a small amount of the mods in them but I'm building a gaming PC and know I'll come back to them at some point to help me build new LO's.
