@jlh55 you do that by electing your senate and representatives. You individually do not run the government. Government employees are protected because no matter who the congress or administration is in charge, they administer the laws and appropriated funds. If no protection was given to fed employees, every 4 years, they would hire and fire employees. This is the main difference between government and corporate employees.

@JS-th2ev yes we the people vote, but we've set back and let the so called government become something we can't control. 98 million registered voters didn't vote in the last election. The politicians of today love that. A government for the people by the people shall not perish from this earth. People believed that when president Lincoln gave that speech. Now you hear the young say why vote the government is going to do what they want. The dumbing of America has begun. There are 11 states that teaching civics in high school is not a required subject. 30 states only teach it for half a year. We have kids graduating highschool that don't even know how their local state or nations governments operate. As trump said, I love the uneducated and I don't care about you I only want your vote.

California has a Democratic trifecta (control both houses in the Calif Assembly and the Governorship). The Fed's were the same way. These results include effects on the markets, such as price declines and sharp increases in inflation, as well as bank failures. Folks are going to find out just how much their daily lives rely on a functioning government, local, state, or federal. I'm not talking just about ordinary citizens, I'm talking about businesses. Are governments perfectly efficient? Of course not, and neither is the private sector. I've worked in both and there is literally no difference. They both have the same employment and executional challenges. Coming at this with an axe is going to shake things up all right. The problem is the people swinging it are very wealthy individuals who won't feel an ounce of pain, while the rest of the population absorbs the brunt of it. If you think this will improve your financial position by lowering your taxes, cutting the cost of goods, and at the same time improve the services you rely on, good luck with that. You're going to get less for more, not the other way around.

The federal government employed 2.28 million civilian personnel. • Of these 2.28 million personnel, the majority - 1.2 million or 54% - worked fully on-site, as their jobs require them to be physically present during all working hours. • The remaining 1.1 million or 46.4% of civilian personnel were telework-eligible. • Of the total 2.28 million personnel, 228 thousand or 10% of civilian personnel were in remote positions where there was no expectation that they worked in-person on any regular or recurring basis. • Among all federal employees, excluding remote workers that do not have a work-site to report to, 79.4% of regular, working hours were spent in-person. • Among the subset of federal workers that are telework-eligible, excluding remote workers, 61.2% of regular, working hours were spent in-person. While these averages represent a government-wide snapshot of time spent in-person as opposed to telework, there is significant variation agency-to-agency in their progress towards OMB’s goal of 50% of time spent in-person among teleworkers

I don’t think the American people expected to see 25% tariffs on our two closest trading partners while only placing a 10% tariff on our main economic competitor. Marco is going to have a very tough job for the rest of his term which I doubt will last even two years.😂

If all other American workers get layed off or fired our government doesnt offer a buyout for them. Why do federal workers get a better deal ? If they are under productive then just fire them or just lay them off. Why are they treated differently than nurses or electricians or plumbers or truck drivers? There is no societal balance.
