This is a game changer I was about to buy a summer board but I live in Pennsylvania and we have some smooth roads but also a lot of rough pavement so anything to not vibrate my ankles off is amazing. Also I own a Onewheel so it’s super soft when I get the SBX I’m going to need these wheels
this is cool I used to Freebord years ago and would always wonder what if a Mountain board and a Freebord had a baby.? lol with 8" wheels possibly Inflatable maybe that wont work to well idk but I'm sure its possible we need something for Carving up fire roads.. I have yet to Try a Summer board i'm Just to Much of a Bum right now to spend $1500 on a board. I'm even debating if I should spend $350 on a new Freebord as I miss that Feeling as its been Years and I'm not getting any younger..

as someone who used to be a competitive snowboarder, and who's also old enough to realize that I don't want to touch a skateboard again...waaayyy too many injuries... this looks like something that I'm going to have to get!

You guys need to work with the Big Bear Mountain Resort people to add Summerboard tracks to the bike park and rent boards. That would totally drive more sales for you guys as well. I really want to try one of these out somewhere. I live in a Irvine so now I know you guys are around! If you want a testimonial "this is first try for an avid snowboarder" bring a board back out here and let's go! :)
nice option, but how are the electric motors influenced by those sand, dirt and rocks hitting with high speed? Will it reduce the working life? what exactly is the difference to the normal wheels? Just the holes/channels?
I bought a Pint - but I truly prefer the Summerboard. Because the Pint is too easy to ride. No skills needed. Also the wipeouts on the onewheel typically require bone resetting. (for me anyway).
If I could only have 1 board I would choose the onewheel XR because I can fearlessly go anywhere and I use it to run errands but the summerboard is way more exiting and exhilarating! It's also fun to ride something that takes as much skill as the summerboard.
How is the life cycle compare to the regular wheel on regular city ground? If it's the same I jump on it!!! I also guess that you need a full bearing clean up after each off road ride?
they are actually good for jumps! really soft landing. And a 30-second shot of compressed air over the wheels will clean out the bearings after a ride :)
I just completed a group ride on my V1 and was amazed how well the original wheels could handle the bumpy road--my only complaint was vibrations. I'm excited for the shock absorption these will offer
love this man, and have strongly been looking into this for a while. as landscape photographer and die hard snowboarder, saw this while back and said, give it time. and let it improve. Have some photo/video ideas this could be perfect for. So...purchase may be in my near future. Have a few long stretches of down hill that would put that 12mi limit to test. :D :D such a cool product

@@justinspirational I used to skate a lot of S.F. hills and use 4 wheel slides to check my speed. This kind of mimics that without the steep hill. Also closer to snowboarding than OneWheel. I got turned off on one wheel when my friends couldn't go up a moderately steep hill. This just looks more fun.
@@vagabondroller you can slide sideways on a OneWheel too.. see 0'56 here amongst multiple other tricks th-cam.com/video/vSUqafNe1vg/w-d-xo.html and I don't have trouble riding up most steep hills and I'm 200 pounds/6'3" tall

I'm sure the onewheel can tackle the meanest hill in Nebraska but it doesn't work for the hills where I live and it sucks to carry uphill. I'll just stick with the Brompton for getting around town and get a Summerboard for fun. I do like the OneWheel quite a bit, the Summerboard just looks more fun.

This board has a hard time keeping together on flat services let alone on gravel and dirt. They keep adding things on already shaky foundation instead of addressing core issues to begin with.

Ooooo. So I ended up getting a OneWheel due to the fact that it can ride off-road, now you guys have my attention again!
