What a fun conversation between calm, thoughtful souls. I don't even have an IG account and I still know who Jefferson is. For the record, JF, though I love listening to your easily implemented conversation tips, all of us out here who care about you wouldn't want you to keep doing it if it stopped nourishing your spirit or became a drain. We can't let anyone down if we're being true to our best selves ☺️

It's called stress. At a period in my life my throat was tightening up and could not swallow food well. Had heart tests done and finally told my heart was fine and doctor told me I had to get my stress under control. So I did everything I could do to be less stressed. Breathing techniques for one.

I have never heard someone do such a great job of describing the first panic attack. 😅 My father, daughter, and I all have panic disorder, and I joke (dark humor - it really is a concern) that one of us is going to actually die of a heart attack someday because we are so conditioned now to ignore it and tell ourselves it is "just" a panic attack because it always is. It is something I worry about because it does mimic a heart attack and we all go to the ER the first and maybe second time but after that we don't...so what happens if it really is a heart attack some day...🙄😏

I feel a great spirituality in him. He has a “light” and he has a gentle, Christlike way of being kind, fair and not manipulative or competitive in the harsh, typical way, even though he has to do his best for his client(s). He is unique to my experience and I respect him very much and wish him blessings for having such a fair, “treat others as you want others to treat you” code of ethics.

This man is on target! His approach is warm and friendly, personable, and appealing. Jefferson offers solid, intelligent, useful advice and information that will self- empower you and allow you to maintain your dignity as well as the dignity of those you interact with. He alerts you to the pitfalls you may come across and explains how to avoid them so your communication/message is clear and stays on track. Brilliant.

Winning an argument isn't always winning.
I think- In a marriage winning an argument is a loss.
You may win the argument but 'lose the war'.
The goal should be solving problems, not winning arguments.
Not always easy - but need to take a moment to step back for a second....
    Ahhh humans so complex.

AGAIN…as ALWAYS in ALL WAYS..you have facilitated another engrossing convo w/ a person who’s info & expertise is absolutely applicable in LIFE!
Life - the courtroom where judges are not identifiable in their robes & all consider themselves judge & jurors.
    👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
    Thank YOU Lewis & Jefferson!

Agree with what he is saying . And understand it.
To me, he is expressing that he understands human psychology and how he uses the knowledge of that understanding as a tool in life. Which I also agree with
Would like to add my opinion on the discussion about how him and his wife handle arguements. . I'm doing so for others who may read this.
He is describing a healthy adult functioning relationship. Where they are both mature to recognize their own faults and be accountable for themselves

Loved this. I learned how to communicate when I realized that we are not communicating. We just throw out words. Often I may say, "I am not trying to convince you to think how I do, but if I have communicated well my thoughts then I have done my job in this experience. I believe too often we speak to convince others your way is better. True communication is just an exchange of thoughts. That's all. Are you a good communicator is the question to ask yourself. Great video, thank you Lewis!

Jefferson has some great tips! I'd bet his nervous system's & body were brewing symptoms that he didn't know were connected to his panic years earlier. He even spoke of the expectation as a kid. People ignore, don't recognize or know what to do when the subtler "symptoms" tell us something is out of balance energetically.

Great interview! I have saved so many of Jefferson's videos on Instagram, and honestly, I don't really go on there as I am not a fan of social media, but I always watch his, and normally, several times. Thanks for all your info and honesty! I am sending this on to a beloved that has had panic attacks for about 10 years and I didn't really understand them. The shallow breathing part was super interesting to me.
