Very cool. Spotted your boards on adverts.ie . I'd nearly pick one or two up but I'm flooded with gen/md PCBs. Doing a project comparing cart PCBs at the mo
FF or all 00 or any value really will work most of the time. Since that part of the memory isn't accessed it doesn't matter too much. How ever , should one of the upper address pins go floating and somehow get toggled the megadrive will look at an address space with no game data , so just in case, I recommend copying the data to fill the entire rom space.
You should sell pinball repro pcb boards like the coin door interface board and a repro sound boards and through proximity their is a big market for these and they are very hard to find.
did you ever find out if the adapter works on the cheaper one? I just ordered I ordered the adapter to test it cause currently I dont have the higher end one your using
What PCB manufacturing company do you use for these? Been looking at doing an Intellivision mod PCBs but all the places I can find ask for hundreds/thousands as minimum order or cost a fortune.
Hello, have you got 5v or 3.3v to the chip? i've see the problem with it: krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=6615.0 I think of another more important problem that could be related to the sale of this type of pcb, it is the developers / hackers of new 16bit games who will be able to be stolen their "rom" on the internet, and sold with a pcb low of range ... How will they be paid?
To choose,i prefer remurerate developper directly on them website if they have a new game aivable, with packaging cardridge with good quality, then buy new game on pcb low range merchant steal the new roms(if it new). Other merchant is good for low price but you are warned about 3.3v,only for the old games. Purpose you if you had good pcb quality,to contact the new developpers of Megadrive games.
This is an exact replica of the original Genesis carts . It doesn't use flash type tech at all but standard eproms so this is not an issue here. As for stollen roms, it isn't something I can do anything about. If people steal roms, the will use them on an emulator or a flash card or a repro cart. I can't do anything about that and I've said multiple times in previous videos on repro carts that people shouldn't do that ;)
@@8bitmanshed Ok thx, original cards well...very good! You're right to advise about that,it's been a short time since I knew about it,yet I do a lot of research on the subject. I practice overclocking on my megadrive, and interested about this,to have the better speed on game, think it's relative and important to have 5v in OC.

In the part when programming where it says normally you should just fill will all ff that's what I do and it works perfectly every time

Can I use a 27c4002 for the gynoug rom?
What Monitor do you recommend for an Arcade machine?
Does your pcb have a chamfer on the bottom where it goes into the Genesis / mega drive
yes. they're only needed on the back side of the pcb as far as I can tell.
