John Pilger Speaking about Julian Assange in Sydney - 2023-03-10 - Anything To Say?

John Pilger delivers a wonderful speech in Sydney, recalling how he liked Julian Assange almost from when he first met him. He liked his sharpness. He liked that Julian was not a member of the media club in any way and that he liked his thoughtfulness. He also tells us about his most recent meeting with Julian in Belmarsh prison, just before Christmas. He explains that at one point during the meeting Julian laughed and it was as if 'things might be alright' but of course they were not. When the meeting time came to an end, Julian raised his clenched fist in the air showing that he is still defiant! #FreeAssange

A legend has passed, gladly through natural circumstances however a disciple of his & a compatriot of John's who is also hero to us & our inner conscience in spirit is facing imminent death. We are all powerless to stop it nor will journalism or schooling ever be free until our handlers have been eliminated.
RIP John Pilger, you have the luxury before your final breath to know that Julian Assange was alive. The rest of us, staring straight into the face of it, will not. I know that goodness does not prevail but like yourself hope that somebody up in the system has a tiny grain of conscience to set Julian Assange free allowing him to do his precious work & be with his family & friends.
Is that too much to ask for?
