  • EV Amphicar: Built in the 1960s, the Amphicar is the only production vehicle for roads and rivers. Collector Matthias Ganter has electrified them and trips in them down the River Moselle are a hit with his hotel guests.

    Mannnnn! I love cars, but I’d never seen one of these until this week when driving home I saw one parked at a shop. Stopped to see what it was and lo and behold…. I need one now!!

    my father would have loved this.
    the original gas engine one is not as much preferred.

    Could DW please refrain from suggesting that electromobility is green and combustion engines are not?
    Both can be powered by fossil or non-fossil energy.
    My combustion engine hasn’t seen fossil energy for over a decade.
    Please refrain from populist mis-conceptions!

      Well a diesel engine could actually burn coal dust. That was one of Rudolph Diesel‘s first experiments.
      But they also burn all kinds of non-fossil waste plant oils that would otherwise go to recycling for the profit of someone else.@@332ARA
