Sorry for the confusion although I have only seen people saying "Leo is washed", "The fall of Leo" in video titles wich were clearly used as clickbait. I have yet to see someone telling people that "leo is washed/will never win again" other than in video titles but I have seen a ton of people writing comments like yours despite no one actually saying that kind of stuff towards Leo. I love the idea of more character roleplaying to add stakes to individual matches and character back into their characters, like when I see Marss play, it’s how I’d imagine the real zero suit Samus would deal with something in her way
If Eggman was both a character and represented well, he could be kinda sick (but if done poorly easily a rob-esc zoner, or worse, bowser jr but bigger) because real eggman (SA2 era, as a prime example) is all about PRESENTATION. His face is plastered everywhere, going for absurd and flashy options to show his power. The type of villain to pull some megamind stuff. Flashy, Narcissistic, A little goofy, and absolutely brilliant (canonical 300iq and in SA2 it actually felt like it). Outplaying literally everyone in a single cutscene (and literally killing Sonic if not for protagonist privilege saving him (directly caused by Shadow, too)), then proceeding to blow up half the moon just so that he can intimidate the world into listening to him, because he wants to make a robo-city named Eggmanland. Now imagine adapting that into a character. And you know he'd be a heavy. With that two-legged mech thing that he has in that game? Somethin like that? yeah. Why didn't we get that?
Gluto and Leo are really really good friends. Gluto was in the house of leo during 1 month before the genesis 8. They probably take the top of smash for a long time, be ready, vive la France et le Mexique.
Basically statistics based on previous performance say that if you're one game away from winning against Leo and it's game 4 it's more likely that he'll win
Leo had a weird tendency to go 0-2 in a set, barely win game 3, and then utterly dominate games 4 and 5 to win. Most prominently this happened at EVO 2019 grands, where he beat Tweek 6 games in a row after going 0-2 in the first set from loser's side, but it also happened several times outside of that. There was also a statistic that he was actually more likely to win from 0-2 than he was to lose. In reality game 4 Leo is kind of dead at this point, it isn't really happening as much as it used to. But the meme is still alive.
