  • This is tutorial how to make realistic Rose by handmade with cold porcelain. You can make such a rose using any clay. It could be polymer clay, air clay, or other clay of your choice.

    Absolutely gorgeous!
    My mother made them with bread dough, glue and glycerin and paint them just like you did.
    You brought back memories of my chilhood watching my mother create beautiful roses. She also put real thorns on the stem.
    I wish i had pictures of her roses today.
    This was about 50 years ago.
    Watching you was like watching my mother.

    Did you wait till you are rose was dry before you painted it or did you paint it while it was still wet?

      I start tinting after 30-60minutes. The clay will be a little dry, it will be comfortable to paint. You can wait until it is completely dry, it will be even more comfortable.
      But there are different kinds of tinting, I will still make a video about it, maybe make a special video just about the kinds of tinting.

      I do not make clay (if I understand you correctly). The clay is purchased, examples of brands are shown in the video.

      Bought them a few years ago, can't remember the links. Just type "silicone rose viner" into a search. There are lots of them online.

      All the information about materials and clay is at the beginning of the video. I only use purchased clay, although I know how to make any kind of porcelain, but I don't want to waste my time on it.
      You can buy materials online, they are available in any country.

      Any brand of floral clay will be good. There is not much difference between the brands. Don't think about it.

      Just get similar ones that are available in your store. they will give the same result. Don't think about the brand

      I don't think it's only for professionals and very expensive! You can find recipes for cold porcelain online. Yobanka art has an excellent recipe for cold porcelain.
