welcome to my channel, we take Gambler to another horse show and he misbehaved and we ended up coming home early, we all just have to remember that horses are not machines and all have off days as do we, let me know down below how your week has been x
Glad to see you support the local shows. Both Gambler and Lewis looked smart and you did the correct thing, if something irritates a horse then pull back it is safer. Better luck next show.
yes we always have to support the local shows as otherwise we will lose them and then there will be no where to take the young horses to or for the new horse owners, thank you, Lewis has done so well this year and i didnt want Gamblers behaviour to knock his confidence, yes Lewis has got to get used to the welsh outbursts but there is a time and a place for that and i dont think a show ground is a safe place. thank you so much x
Wow gambler is looking too notch hun, and feeling it haha. It’s this very late spring and the flush of grass even tho our horses are kept off it’s mostly but just that bit is a lot . He’s feeling well but yes you need control. Hopefully next show he will have calmed down a bit. Good job tho Louis that couldn’t have been easy. Look at you planing ahead with working hunter with champ 🤩. Loving the technical talk. You got this there is a jumper inside you you just got too unleash the beast. I think once you’ve done your first class you will want to continue lol well I hope so anyways hun xxx
Thank you, gambler is finally loosing his winter coat so no longer resembles a fluffy bear 😂 Yes I think the grass has just blown all there brains lately, there was no point risking gambler getting to strong and getting loose so off home we went, there will always be another show to go to another day, Haha 😂 I am enjoying the jumping with champ as he seems to enjoy it, I don’t think I would ever get on and jump any other horse tho 🤣 The goal is to do at least one working hunter with him this year so we shall see xxx
Bad shit happens sometimes, we all have days like that, obviously something was setting the horses off at that show so you did the right thing to bring Gambler home and If he isn't going to settle down then it's not worth it, but plenty more shows to enter through the summer months so we look forward to seeing you at the next ones and seeing you enjoy your win's :) :)
Thank you, Yes they all have good and bad days, I tried calming gambler back down so Lewis could carry on with his next class but he was just far to strong and wound up, Yes lots more shows to go to over the summer and I’m sure we will have lots of fun Thank you 😊 x
@@KarenBadrick1 Extremely well In 4th place out of a class of 10... something to be proud of despite Gambler playing up but arn't Welshy's fun sometimes lol an yes thinking of Lewis's confidence but yer gotta get back up and go and give it yer best shot next time as it's all good experience for Lewis at the same time :)
Yes I’m pleased with where they came in such a large class, lots of people out for a run out before our local county show this weekend, Yes typical behaviour for these welshies which Lewis has got to get used to, gambler can get extremely strong tho from his driving days, so I may have to look for a strong bit for him for when he has days like this 😂
@@KarenBadrick1 It's all good fun Karen and we love watching you're Video's, but all the horses were up to no good, so it's either one was playing the other by starting them all off or something was spooking them on that field, maybe a ghost? lol
Yes it’s all good fun, That the thing with horses isn’t it, it just takes something to set one off in a panic and then all the others follow suit 😂 Thank you for your support with my channel, I really do appreciate it xx
Ah the spring weather never fails to put a spring in their step - good decision to withdraw no need to risk anyone getting hurt and Welshys when they don’t want to do something just put their neck and shoulders into it and use their strength plenty more shows well done on 4th 😊
Thank you so much, they have done so well together this year so far that I feel there is no reason for them to push through and risk knocking Lewis’ confidence As you say there is plenty more shows this summer for them to go to 😊
I have no idea what it was but none of them where happy with that corner, Yes I hope it wasn’t either, definitely a possibility I didn’t think of that xx
@@KarenBadrick1 I was thinking it might have been some sort of buzzing insects, or possibly pigs...I dunno there are so many things that horses freak out at!!
Yes so many things could just freak out one horse then the rest all seem to just follow 😂 I’m just hoping whatever it was has gone before the next show as the inhand ring is always in that corner 😂 xx
Thank you, this was Dacorum and district riding club, and there is also Leighton buzzard Stanbridge and district riding club that is on next weekend, There both lovely relaxed local shows x

Gambler and lewis looked amazing, good call, they certainly have nothing to prove
Thank you, yes not worth the risk,
As you say they have nothing to prove and there will always be another show x

What a shame, Gambker and Lewis looked great, glad he got a rosette at least xx
Such a shame but we all have bad days,
Even Lewis came out the ring asking me how did he even get placed 😂
Thank you xx

Good old spring grass doesn't help does it. It was the right choice to withdraw but I expect it was a bit of a shame x
Yes such a shame but got to do what’s right at the time,
Yes I don’t think the spring grass is helping at all at the moment 😂 x
Lovely video.
What show was this? As I’m always on the look out for small local shows as we are not to far from you x
