Nice, fun and happy looking watch. I’m glad you’ve started to review watches in person. It adds a lot to the originality of your videos. Please have more closeup shots if possible. Thanks
Another great review Armand, accurate factual and as always, very interesting. Zodiac really are producing wonderful watches. I have owned a Zodiac Sea Dragon for the last 3 years (it is a brilliant watch) and am currently awaiting delivery, via our friends at Page & Cooper, of a Super Sea Wolf Skin 53 on the metal bracelet - Can't wait!! Thanks again Armand
Love the Brand. The diver models are unique and nostalgic. I have had good accurate timekeeping with my few diver models. Hope they continue on the same course.
Thanks for bringing this watch to our attention. Somehow Zodiac seems to get "lost" in the fog of all the dive watches currently in production. But they do have a fine heritage to be proud of and it looks as if they are on firm ground now and producing some excellent watches.
I have my Zodiac grandrally silver blue on as I watch this video . Albeit a quartz , not automatic , I still love it . Incredible fit and finish for the money you pay from Zodiac . Congrats , the Sea Wolf looks fantastic! Love that color scheme. Myself , I am more drawn to the orange white version .
The original Zodiac Sea Wolf came out just after the Fifty Fathoms in 1953! Both keep that vintage aesthetic, but I like that this has a much more modest case width (and price haha). I am strongly considering replacing my Fifty Five Fathoms with one of these.
I opted between this one and the glycine combat sub, i chose the combat sub because its really thin compared to the zodiac but both trade punches all day long.
@@DCGarage They were over priced, I own 2 combat subs a golden eye version and a black dial red bezel version love both but sea wolf is in another class. You get what you pay for...Waiting on my white dial and bezel sea wolf to arrive got a great deal from a AD in the UK.
I have 15 nice watches and got this zodiac thinking if I don’t like it I’ll sell but not a chance of that as I love and adore it. I have bought a jet black rubber nato for it and cut the overlap rubber off it and I just love wearing it. This is a good review of a fab and fun watch.
My next big purchase will be this exact watch in this exact color way Something about it triggers a strong deja vu in my mind and I have never seen it before but I need it .
Another great review. I love the Zodiac Sea Wolf. Such history and quality at such an affordable price point and with amazing retro styling. Now this scheme is not to my appeal. I like the blue and white version.
19:53 That's the only thing that gives me pause with Zodiac. I wonder if it can really be a lifetime piece and be serviced well into the future after that given model is discontinued. Very cool watch though.
+primecreator: That's a very difficult question. At the moment, not a single watch seems to actually be being made by Zodiac and, at the best of times, only a couple of handfuls entered the UK every year.
The green translucent bezel design and the markings are exactly the same as the Bremont 44mm diver, and that one came out first. Same supplier of parts?
Zodiac is an interesting brand... but I think it's misleading for them to say since 1882 when the brand went bankrupt, stopped making watches completely, and was bought and restarted by a completely different group of people... it's literally a new company, or rather part of FOSSIL that just bought the rights to an old company's name. Zodiac used to compete with Rolex, Omega, and Doxa back in the day when divers first came into fashion. Questions: Are they using/building watches in the old Zodiac factory? Are they even building watches in the same town? Do they have any of the same watch makers?
Good point. Seems they are all at unfortunately (ALS, A&S, Breitling, brequet, bovet, etc etc etc). Fossil likely figure if swatch etc can get away with it (e.g. jaquet droz), JCBiver can make his fortune buying the blancpain name (only the name) and doing same, it's open season. Agree with you, the real date wouldn't go amiss.
Lovely use of pastel colours. Absolutely Sublime. However I do feel they dropped the ball in just one area. We have a sapphire bezel that is NOT fully lumed. There are quite a few microbrands now that are producing beautifully fully lumed bezel at compartively affordable price points, including Straton, NTH, Magrette and Prometheus to name a few.
+ Thank you for the kind words. Regarding Page and Cooper, I speak really just from my personal experience with them. In my case, they have always been very helpful and forthcoming regarding purchases and services.
Overall, it's a very nice watch. I like the colors here. it's colorful, but not overly. The bracelet is quite nice, but if I had to make a personal gripe about it, I feel the curvy nature of the jubilee style doesn't quite match the rest of the watch which is so straight lined and angular. I've seen this watch, or very similar one, reviewed by Average Bros at least a year ago, probably a little over, and I had that same complaint about the detail back then. If I had the watch, I'd probalbly get used to the combination in time, i think. But as it is and looking at it as an outsider, I can't help but feel the bracelet looks like a seperate identity from the main watch case in design concept.. for me, a bit of a dischord .. I would probably change it out for something like an engineer bracelet or even a hexad oyster that has more angle faceted edges to go in line with the straight case design of the super sea wolf. Too bad you can't see i the swan neck regulator which is unusual for a timepiece at the level and pricepoint it is at which is a good thing that it has it.. not so much that you can't see it.
Its as if Zodiac had a bring your child to work today and somehow the child's design using hideous colours made its way into a production run. If on the other hand they are making these for the partially sighted consumer, great job, nailed it!
I think its just a "fuckitletshavesomefun" summer diver. Who says we cant break out of the usual black and blue dial rot. I wouldnt buy this colour but if I saw someone on street I would think "good for you mate".
I don't understand why reviewers are hesitant with transparency. I have no problem with a company giving away a watch as compensation for review. All I ask is the reviewer inform us.
I am not exactly a kid, and I don't get it why you're bringing up that issue. My problem is that Armand has been hiding the fact that he is releasing sponsored reviews every now and then. He may do so of course, everyone needs to get paid for his job. But just admit that he gets to keep the watch afterwards, or gets a fixed amount of money for the review, or that he gets a % of the sales that happen through his link.
I have a crappy little channel with few subs/poor production values, but even I have been approached by watch companies with free/discounted offers to make vids on their watches. It's very difficult to feature a variety of different watches on ones channel sans some form of sponsorship, discount, lending etc. from a watch company. I don't condone the practice of stealth marketing, and I just assume every watch channel that reviews a good variety of different watches (especially entry level pieces) is "on the grift", LOL.
@@cedarcanoe Sometimes I watch "The Time Teller" and I think he is not honest about being sponsored also, but to be honest I don't care at all because there is no way I will buy a Pantor, Sea-Gull or any microbrand that he recommend. That's the reason I was saying that about being a kid, but sure maybe someone that it's new on the watch world can be influenced, in that case; I'm totally biased but, I prefer the influenced guy get a Zodiac before an irrelevant and sometimes overpriced Pantor or etc. Have a nice day!.
I certainly like the vintage design of the watch, that said the silver dial with an Art Deco Aqua Green' ish bezel is far from attractive and would clash with anything one wears aside from an 1980's Don Johnson suit.
A very nice looking watch but.....at $1400 (as per the website), this watch is seriously overpriced and is nothing but a "look at my new watch that I paid too much for" accessory. There are too many better watches for the price. Better yet, go buy an original Zodiac and have a true piece of history instead of owning a watch from a watch group that sells in department stores.
@I how much are those watches? And who's foolish enough to spend $9k for an Omega at Costco (and yes, I have personally seen one in a California store). Now to my point, why would you spend $1400 for that watch? You can spend that much on a early 70's Seamaster in excellent shape. There are literally dozens of watches that are far below that price that are just as nice or even better.
Such a summertime watch. Love it so much I bought one.
As always, fantastic review! I am also highly impressed by the clarity and overall quality of your video. Keep up the great work!
Nice, fun and happy looking watch.

That is a stunning watch. The colours are glorious.... lucky chap

Really nice, I like where it says 'Super Sea Wolf' in cursive, looks classic.
I have a Doxa Sub 300 Professional and a Jenny 300 Caribbean. I always wanted a Sea Wolf. Now I can complete my wish list. 🙂
Did you ever get a super sea wolf?
Love the Brand. The diver models are unique and nostalgic. I have had good accurate timekeeping with my few diver models. Hope they continue on the same course.
Wow those colours pop...
Such a refreshing piece , fantastic sunshine breath of fresh air ... love it!!
Miami Vice called..they need their watch back ...good review!
Thanks for bringing this watch to our attention. Somehow Zodiac seems to get "lost" in the fog of all the dive watches currently in production. But they do have a fine heritage to be proud of and it looks as if they are on firm ground now and producing some excellent watches.

It looks like a high quality piece.
Love the look, if I had the funds that would be next in my small collection.
There is something of the Fifty Fathoms about this Zodiac's style. That is always a good thing.
The original Zodiac Sea Wolf came out just after the Fifty Fathoms in 1953! Both keep that vintage aesthetic, but I like that this has a much more modest case width (and price haha). I am strongly considering replacing my Fifty Five Fathoms with one of these.
I love their new two tone version. Actually I’d love to see you do an affordable 2-tone watch video :)
Recently I got the blue version, I'm very pleased with the quality and looks!.
I opted between this one and the glycine combat sub, i chose the combat sub because its really thin compared to the zodiac but both trade punches all day long.
@Joshua Gore once upon a time the Combat Sub was actually the same price. It's a steal now, but they used to be about twice as much.
@@DCGarage They were over priced, I own 2 combat subs a golden eye version and a black dial red bezel version love both but sea wolf is in another class. You get what you pay for...Waiting on my white dial and bezel sea wolf to arrive got a great deal from a AD in the UK.
Just marvellous. I missed out on the GMTs. Gotta get this.
Thank you for the review, I think you hinted to me last week.
Great looking watch. Thanks for introducing me to this brand with this great review
Great review. Very informative. Beautiful watch.
Great watch and review... Best wishes. Stuart
Wonderful review. Well done!

This is a good review of a fab and fun watch.
Beautiful watch and very detailed review.
That "honeydew" version is fun to look at, but I think I'd find it hard to make it work with most of my clothes.
My next big purchase will be this exact watch in this exact color way

Great review Thank you. Check out the Traska Skindiver with similar specs.

Are the going to make anymore of these?
+primecreator: That's a very difficult question. At the moment, not a single watch seems to actually be being made by Zodiac and, at the best of times, only a couple of handfuls entered the UK every year.
Perhaps the most perfect watch ever.
Hi, fantastic review👍. Do you still have the watch with you after two years? Plan to get one but worry about STP realibility 🤔
+ FOO CHIT HSIANG: Thank you very much! I had the watch until a couple of months ago and saw absolutely no mechanical problems.
Hey, would the watch be suitable for someone who has a 6.3 inch wrist or would the lugs hang out ?
The green translucent bezel design and the markings are exactly the same as the Bremont 44mm diver, and that one came out first. Same supplier of parts?
My favourite Zodiac.
Amazing review. Love the description of the bracelet. I think I'm sold on one soon. Thanks for sharing!
Quality review
Can the clasp on the bracelet be changed?
Great video. Lovely piece, and fantastic colours. I think for that money I’d rather have an original.
The dial looks blue in the video but green online... which is it closer to?
Do a SKX-007 review, do you have one?
Its one touch piece with a great old-school look to it.
Great vid
Again, a good review and an attractive watch.

Blancpain since 1733 and again since 1983.

Yeah Faux heritage right there with Sqwallllleeeeee watches. If you closed your doors you start over.
Ball too I think.

Wonderful review Armand. This Zodiac is definitely on my list of watches to take a serious look at. Thanks and keep the great videos coming.
What's the weight of the Zodiac?
I do want one.

It’s mineral crystal, not sapphire
They don't have the styling of this watch nothing looks like a Seawolf. Speaking of ball, get tritium tubes in your bezel with a ball watch.
You won me over .
Good review as usual however your opinion of Page and Cooper doesn't seem to tally from feedback I have heard from other watch enthusiasts

Did Rolex invent the Jubilee and Oyster bracelets?
Yes.
lol....one approves.
My FUCK I love that watch. $3000 Canadian arsehole dollars on ebay right now tho. I want it SOOO bad
Nice watch (design and colorscheme) but closer to 2k$ it's waaaay overpriced
