If you had the eye detect autofocus on then the R5 was probably having issues with the sunglasses. If you turn that off and just leave face tracking it probably would have done the trick.
Believe me bro You won't regret; once You setup properly Resolve to read the full 16 bits of the RED RAW you can't believe your eyes. Really interesting video btw.
Great video. I just switched to Canon a couple of weeks ago and went with a C70+R5 combo. I've got my first client shoot this weekend, planning on mixing in C70+R5 with 8K RAW to get c-log 2 as well. How's your experience been with the overheating?
It hasn’t overheated on me yet. Shot 4K HQ and ran out of battery. Granted weather is mild here I imagine mileage will vary depending on ambient temps. When I shoot in 8k raw I only do short clips.
