I liked the Fights between D and Niko the most. They looked best if you look at how they fight each other XD

When D and Niko were fighting it was just magestic beasts fighting in a tropical jungle kicking up the dirt around them and being absolutely nothing but epic

In a real fight against a trained swordsman, it wouldn't have worked. Also, please notice how his opponent did in fact manage to cut him as he was spinning.

Well, be careful what you wish for. You'd probably end up as an editor or some behind the scenes guy, which would mean that you'd get the not-so-glorious job that actually involves a lot of work and skill. It's still probably better than say, office worker or some other boring shit, but things like editing can be brutal and unforgiving sometimes.
Well, the upside of that job would be actually being able to edit. And you'd still be able to hang out and play with Node anyways.

Too bad it only looks cool. Watch it again, they're cutting at each other's sword, not actually aiming blows at each other and blocking. At least not until that last blow.

I think the spin thing he did was cool near end but in real sword fights no one actual spins or does any of that because it leaves you vulnerable watch how vikings or Romans or native tribes fight in real life non of this spinning shit but yes they having fun so well done I enjoyed this video :P
Well, that's true. Against experienced and trained men, those spins and jumps are easy opportunities to gut your enemy.
However, in 1 vs 1 novice fights like this, sudden jumps and spins are intimidating and often they'd hang back in the defensive.
Well the spinning shit u say works well in martial arts, it would give the slash more power and it makes it harder for ur opponent to guess u moves.
KaiSaHai777 No more power than using a twist, and it takes too much time to be worth keeping the opponent guessing. The spinning stuff you see in martial arts movies is for cinematic effect.

The battles between Niko and D were the best. They were like real sword battles, but they were realistic (Because it's real life HUAAAA) and didn't try tons of spin tactics. It was just a good, clean sword fight.

Back in my day we use to whack each others limbs off one by one, using nothing but our bare hands. Now these new fangel 'swords' and 'blades' are out and every kids wants one. Now your telling me about these gun'amigigs! Whats next a sword that shoots light!?
It's not very fun unless the swords have actual weight.
real swords aren't very heavy -- only a couple pounds. most of the weight that slows your movement is your body and your own arm.
Ryan Gatts I've trained sword-fighting for almost 7 years. You can't fling your sword around as if it's a Foil. You need forearm strength to be able to wield a sword properly and be able to control it's movement constantly, to make sharp re-directions if needed. With a plastic/foam sword, that reality doesn't exist. With a real sword you can't just attack and pull back at the same time they have weight, as soon as you attack, you're opening yourself to counter attacks. Also, an actual sword can be knocked out of your grip, as both swords have bigger mass, more force is exerted on your wrist when it comes to blows.

Fencing is different than sword fighting. That is with Rapiers and this was with swords.
