Maya - Killer Instinct 2 (1996): After Ultratech's attack on her hidden city releases Kan-Ra, Maya sets out to destroy him once and for all.
Kan-Ra - Killer Instinct (2013): Freed from imprisonment during the attack on Maya's city, Kan-Ra now seeks knowledge to help him control the world.
Riptor - Killer Instinct (1994): A new line of Riptor units augmented with cybernetics is developed by Ultratech to operate in conditions not suitable for their Fulgore line.
Omen - Killer Instinct (2013): Now able to manifest on the mortal plane thanks to his time spent in Jago's body, Omen seeks to herald the return of his master Gargos, destroying all who would oppose them.
Aganos - Killer Instinct (2013): Given the task of finding and killing Kan-Ra thousands of years ago, Aganos continues to pursue him, hoping to one day fulfill his master's last request.

Rash - Killer Instinct (2013): A guest character from the Battletoads franchise. An anthropomorphic toad who can transform his body in order to do damage.
Kim Wu - Killer Instinct 2 (1996): Chosen by her family's guardian dragon spirit, Kim Wu takes up her ceremonial nunchaku and trains to prepare for Gargos's invasion.
Arbiter - Killer Instinct (2013): A guest character from the Halo franchise. A proud warrior of the Sangheili race.
Tusk - Killer Instinct 2 (1996): Granted immortality millenia ago, Tusk is tasked by the gods with stopping Gargos.
Mira - Killer Instinct (2013): Transformed into a vampire, Mira is ordered to retrieve an artifact that will aid in Gargos's return.
Gargos - Killer Instinct 2 (1996): Trapped in another dimension for millennia, ARIA's machinations allow Gargos to finally reach Earth.
General RAAM - Killer Instinct (2013): A guest character from the Gears of War franchise. A military leader of the Locust horde. [28]
Eyedol - Killer Instinct (1994): Once the only challenge to Gargos but was slain, now resurrected by Kan-Ra but proves too powerful to control.[

Just like Mortal Kombat and SoulCalibur, Killer Instinct has amazing music, graphics, characters. I just hope they make a long story mode for KI in the future. This series needs more publicity and popularity. So criminally underrated
it does actually have quite a rich story...it just requires a "read between the lines" thing going on. MK and Tekken kind of do the same thing.
Essentially the backstory of KI is this: there are two dimensions...the Human Dimension and Demon Dimension. The Demon Dimension was at war for many ages and then was eventually ruled by the Demon Warlord Gargos. Deciding he wanted to expand he tried to take the Human Dimension (this was in ancient days). There was a huge battle across our world and many creatures and people were involved. These men called the Ancient Guardians (whom Kim Wu is the descendant) used their powers to seal Gargos away in the Demon Dimension, ensuring it could only be opened from OUR SIDE. Unfortunately as time passed Humanities knowledge of such powers, arcane magics and abilities faded and we became more known as the realm of technology (also used in other science fiction novels). After World War II emerged a man called Ryat Adams who became the founder and CEO of Ultratech, originally it was founded on good intentions and looked to create a better future for humanity. Unfortunately Ryat Adams did not trust Ultratech to any Human successor, the Board of Directors became corrupt and so he decided to create a machine to carry on his legacy (which is where ARIA was born). ARIA does want to protect the Human world...but her methods are extreme, then again she knows about Gargos and most others don't. She feels Gargos is the necessary evil needed to make Humans say "right, we need to work together" which is why she and her forces are manipulating things to get him back to our dimension.
You got that right - I mean, Killer Instinct got Arbiter before Mortal Kombat will ever get Master Chief
@@jeice-sonocteer1199 i have to admit KI had the best choice of guest characters i've seen in like 15-20 years and this is coming from someone who has never liked guest characters much. Rash was funny and good for the retro community, RAAM was intimidating and suited the game very well (plus xbox = gears of War so...makes sense). and Arbiter, although his game play was probably a little odd for KI he still suited very well (cause again xbox = halo).
in retrospect the guests in MK X...to be fair they could have been worse...i've seen much worse (the star wars ones in Soulcalibur comes to mind). Predator and Alien were great, Jason just made sense IMO...didn't like Leatherface though (but then i have always hated him...texan mutated psychotic, face wearing freak of nature). i would have prefered Spawn.

I have Been a Fan Of Killer Instinct Sense it was Born & came out on super nintendo in 1996 it be awesome if the playstation Company Or Midway release the video game on playstation 4 like MK 11. For the future I would like to see killer instinct on the shelf just like the MK saga. Looking forward to see this game on playstation 4.

@@yochilloutbro6501 what point is there in that, they could extend on this one so much more...and we dont need a next gen...i have watched over 10 people give 30 minutes talks about about how both the xbox One and PS4 do not REALLY need a new generation for at least another 5 years...maybe even 8 years. all people really want is good games, good sequels/ prequels, good remasters and good backwards compatible games. good versatility too (like motion control, VR, online or offline, splitscreen or single, co op or single player). it is only really the game companies that want to push to another gen so fast...because then they force us to buy new games and make more more money for them. you'd be amazed how many people are saying "xbox one and PS4 do not need another gen just yet"
