Hoku ! And I look fwd to seeing how you kit the new camper out. Very cool looking little rig. Have fun with it, I'm sure the camping vids with it will be awesome. Much easier for Hoku to get into compared to the rooftop.
Congrats on the new trailer! The VTW camper didn’t last long. Did you have any issues with it? My Power Wagon only gets 12.5mpg not towing anything. lol
No sir the VIntage Trailer was great but it had a single axle and it wasn’t an off road camper. It was great for easy campgrounds but I’m planning an Alaskan trip next year for the off road camper suits me better! Thanks for watching Paul! Gas is cheap in TN but in Florida it was .50 cents higher! LOL
@@sempergumbie good to hear! I have thought about an off-road teardrop or square drop and VTW is next door in Alabama so I’ve kept an eye on them. I am not sure how I feel about wood construction though. I like what TCC is doing too. Luckily we have a few good options in the SE.
I still have a good relationship with VTW folks, they are great folks. My type of camping has elevated to the next level so I was honored to have met Joe and was glad we collaborated to build a camper for me. Where are you located? Florida?
I wish l had those higher lights on my 2023 Kong. I actually asked for that and was told it couldn’t be done. One of my lights is effectively blocked by my cargo rack
How far down did you make it before you hit that campground? It kind of looks like the one I hit on the way to the SAVE just north of Valdosta... but you would have to be rolling to make it that far the first day.
@@sempergumbie I bet you are! I'd love to talk to those guys... I love the idea of starting with a base trailer and "disney" it up. I need all the gimmicks!
Yes sir, it was sold several months ago. It was a great camper but it was a single axle and it was built out of wood material. This new one is boat composite and has an off road suspension.

@@GumbieGear I’m in North Ga near Dawsonville.
How has this held up? Very interested in a follow up review.
We are taking on a 3 month cross country trip so it will be in all the future videos from starting Feb 1st! Stay Tuned! Its been incredible!!!

I was surprised that they came in there and I am grateful they did. The folks at TCC are awesome!

I drove from TN to Ocala the first day. Then I drove from pretty much from Orlando to Jackson TN with the camper last night. I was beat!

@@BBombsBigAdventure email Joe and see what they can do. I’ll have it at the Gathering and you can check it out!
Why didn’t you get a Kong? Did yours come with the Timbren suspension?
I got the Rhino and it came with the the 2k rated Riggid Independent Suspension. Most of my loat will be on my Rig but 2k is plenty
I’ve been wondering about the other camper. I assume you’ve sold it?
