This is the BEST performance and rendition of Narito Ako. Ms Bermont was like acting in a short play in a magical storytelling about her newly unfolding love story. The Original talaga is always the Best!
This, for me, is among the few exceptions to the original being the best. Regine's version is way better and more relatable. Packed with emotion and power.
For me, I prefer Queen Regine's version as she had sang this song like how an arist should sing it... and she's the only one who can sing this song beautifully!!! When Regine sings she's giving it her all to create a masterpiece - a brilliant work of art❣️
Whatever you said still REGINE NAILED THIS SONG! Even if both of them will sing the same song...Mas prefer ko ang version ni Regine at siya ang nagpasikat sa kanta na NARITO AKO....Tatak Regine na yan! Sa dami ng taon nakaraan ngayon lang binulgar ang original, huli na ang lahat si Regine pa rin ang the best kumanta nyan
This also reminds me of the late Whitney's song, "I Will Always Love You." I didn't even know that Dolly Parton was the original singer pala until later nalang, lol. Whitney really owned the song, and this is exactly how Regine owned this song too. Another song is Shine, hehe.
RV's version is almost similar to the original. The original is a bit operatic while Regines for me has full of emotions, singing on a very high notes.

Most of the singers never tried innovating their singing styles every year. They remained on their comfort zones, making it no longer relevant to the new gen Z now. Whereas Regine innovated her singing techniques to blend different genres, making her still relevant singer to every generation.
She sung this song during 1977 metro manila popular music festival. Kay ganda ng ating musika compose by ryan cayabyab and interpreter by Haji Alejandro (Dad of Rachel Alejandro) won the grand prize. She didn’t record this song narito ako, only during the competition.😊

Naabutan ko ang kantang ito at masasabi kong Regine really owned this song. Ung emotion ng kanta ay kuhang kuha niya. Unlike Maricris khit na sabihin pang cya ang original na kumanta
Regine already has bagged and owned this song. Sorry, but there are songs talaga, hindi man ikaw ang kumanta as original pero it sounds like it really meant for me. Example lang, Sheryn Regis’s Come On In Out of The Rain is not hers but no one can sing it the way she does and the original? How many people listens to her version in the Philippines? Wala ako pipiliin, Cris had her interpretation somewhat musical or theatrical, whilst Regine turned it in to Pop Ballad ❤️
Regine sang the song using the original arrangement when she guested in Ryan Ryan Musikahan in 1989. She does it very well too. I can't take anything away from Regine for trying out the song and reinterpreting it. I didn't like the newer music arrangement of the song for Regine in 1990 which is the one the younger generation knows. The orchestra background with every instrument noticeable in Cris Bermont's original makes the song more epic.
I like the arrangement of Miss Bermont’s. But Regine’s live version at the Ryan Ryan Musikahan was much better than Miss Bermont’s who used “falsetto’s” in reaching the higher notes. Nothing wrong with using “falsetto” but it had to be done smoothly. With Miss Bermont, the “lift” in her voice when she shifted from her natural tone to falsetto was way too noticeable. Regine’s live rendition at the 1989 Ryan Ryan Musikahan episode had mire nuances and vocal bravura.
