Beautiful, mate! Thanks for sharing the best lessons on TH-cam!! And keeping us inspired by such amazing performances. Cheers from Chile (the birthplace of jazz huachaca by the great Roberto Parra with huge influence from Django)
Wonderful and a great tone from the gypsy - More round and a bit less spiky than I often hear. I like a classical gypsy blend. You're a great player. Cheers!
@@SvenJungbeck Sounds really marlevous! The only d-hole gypsy guitar i've ever heard with that much response is Christine Tassan's. (I guess part of it is the attack.) How high are the strings from the fretboard?
Sven Jungbeck, much less than I would’ve imagined. I’ve watched many musicians recording albums and studio music and 3 is so far on the lower end. Great work, you’re clearly doing things right brother.
@@SvenJungbeck Great job on all fronts!! Joscho might have just as well helped you round with rhythm, at least for once, given your outstanding back up for him all these years ;-). Jokes aside, great job!
Hi, this is exactly the tempo of the 1936 version of Django Reinhardt. open.spotify.com/track/6RNtMMMt5NJOiuUA3BIVTh?si=UmPxPCaETMW41GKBPLDIPg& All the best, Sven
@@hanks2567000I might be mistaken there, but I thought that the Django Reinhardt/ Stephane Grapelli version from 1936/37 is the original version. Of course one could play it slower and make it a real ballad, but what did you mean with "original tempo"? Which version? Greetings
@@SvenJungbeck very considerate of you, Sven..you're an amazing player..I am 71 and grew up listening to a dirge-like version that includes Hubert Rostaing on clarinet, my father's instrument. Hey, I played in Latvia one or two years ago. It was a nice tour, with the master, Joscho Stephan.
Hi Sven I am in the United States (East Coast). I am interested in finding out about engaging your services for some lessons.
Hi, just contact me via Sven.jungbeck9@gmail.com for all the details!
Warm regards
Beautiful playing and guitar response! How high is the string action? I assume those are 11 gauge strings.
Yes, these are 011 Argentine strings.
Jürgen Volkert is a master luthier.
His most famous endorses are Joscho Stephan and Diknu Schneeberger.

@@SvenJungbeck Oh yes, and how thick is the pick you used? Is it plastic?
@@zvonkovelickovic3107 2,8mm round about, those are hand made. Don't know the material some kind of horn, I think.
@@zvonkovelickovic3107 I don't know, I didn't set them higher. They are comfortable to play.
Can’t believe how effortless and clean this cover is. How many attempts did this take to record?
Haha, thank you. To be honest: 3 takes.

At the audience I guess!
@@SvenJungbeck Haha okay. I thought maybe scores or tabs
@@likesyngates hahaha I'm a horrible reader! 😂
Are those heavy gauge strings?
Are you using standard tuning?
Is this Joscho playing the rhythm for you?
No, this is myself!

It's that selective strumming of any N strings from 6 that boggles my mind.
There’s good exercises for that, for example bluegrass and country rhythm guitar with fills and alternating bass. It’s fun and gets you there!
What's your hurry? So sweet..why so fast? the original tempo is the magic, not the fandango
