Joscho achieves what most people would consider impossible on a 6 string guitar . He is the modern day Miguel Llobet and Francisco Tarrega - who were considered virtuoso’s of their time. While they played different styles - they were standouts like Joscho. What an amazing display of skill and musicality. Great video Len - thanks for capturing this for all to see.

It's hard to believe that at this level as a guitar player, there's more to learn.
To me this is as far as one can get.
If I'd be on this level I would be very happy.
3:01 fooling around at master level.
    Fantastic.

Joscho makes sweet love to his instrument once again. Rough and yet tender at the same time. Who has more fun than him? People criticize him for his heavy handed bends and gimmicks, but that would only be valid if he wasn't melodically good with a soft touch. Guess what? He is.
He's influenced by Chet Atkins, who was clearly borrowing a lot from Django, so I say good deal. No one is like him, no one is better, just different. He dominates his instrument---that's his style, and it's never bad.
(Ok, fine, Bireli is the king---but everyone already knew that, and it's an irrelevant nomination)

A guitarist can be criticised for their bends? If you don't bend heavy on these guitars, the bend sucks. This is actually the most un-Joscho I've heard him play, with the more bluesy phrasing and pinch harmonics.

Super version, but not sounding that "gipsy", to my french ears. Anyway, the song itself wasn't written in this style, even if it has become a gipsy jazz standard. To me, Joscho sounds quite american, bluesy (especially in the first part, especially if you compare his version to something more "roots", like the Stochelo Rosenberg version, i.e.
