Thank you, Edward, for another wonderful playthrough. I already watched it twice, but the roundtable discussion was amazing. It's hitting my table tomorrow night (8/9/2024) at 3 players. ❤
You’re welcome! Have a blast!
I can't help myself, but since the teaching of Brass Birmingham I love having Martin with you at the table.
Yeah, I'm late for the party but I just got The Gallerist at this years SPIEL and because it's my favorite Lacerda game, I have to watch your playthrough.
What I like the most at this game are that straight forward "worker" spots. For me, they are just very intuitive because they are sticking with the theme.
And that's what makes me also being absolutely hyped for Speakeasy. Theme and logical worker spots. So thanks for all the playthroughs and especially those two for the moment 😊
Really enjoyed everyones discussion in the roundtable on this one
Ahh i would have loved to have been a part of this one!
I empathize with the complaint that some of the actions in Lacerda games have a lot of steps but once you've really understood the big picture of the actions and not let yourself get lost in the details they're actually very simple. E.g. buying a piece of art is just paying the cost, moving the meeples on the artwork tile to the plaza (which you have to do because they're standing on the artwork tile), increase the fame of the artist and taking tickets (both of which are printed on the artwork tile to remind you), taking the artwork and signature tile to your board, and finally replenishing the meeples on the newly revealed artwork tile. Ian O'Toole does an amazing job with the UI that all the actions can be done by just reading off the board.
@@coltonbeatty6117 Imagine how sad must a person be that they feel the need to go around dissing a game to seek validation from its fans. Oh please, enlighten us, do tell!
Kanban, Gallerist and Lisboa are his best games. After that he fell in love a bit too much with rules complexity and sacrificed a smooth experience for it
@@coltonbeatty6117yes
Wow, sorry you feel that way, oof
@@coltonbeatty6117 not that hard to figure out why
@coltonbeatty6117 this ends here. I am fine with valid criticisms if the various games. But the blanket broad statements and such…enough
Yeah…. The Gallerist. I do like Kanban EV solo as well !
This game is a banger
I would love to see a playthrough of Railways of the world!
How does this compare to Lisboa? Does Lisboa have the multitude of steps that this does?
Best Lacerda IMO.
just ordered today....37:55 lacerda games always intimidate me but after careful study the gallerist seemed the easiest for my feeble brain to understand..CO2 was a close second.....
THUMBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
vinhos please!
