    I appreciate your attitude of “wast not want not” saved a lot of money and trips to town by having a metal scrap pile by shop.

    Your videos are quite comprehensive in the work that you all do. I'm a retired technology & engineering teacher and I love to observe all the different processes on the project. Over the decades I have taught most of the stuff at one time or another. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see the finished job and fishing.😊

    Are you putting drain holes in the side of tubes in case the get water in them?

    • @EISAlaska
      @EISAlaska  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, all the stanchions have a hole drilled near the bottom.

    Hey guys what the hell happened to that beautiful hold since the last time we saw it, the place was white and shiny clean - now look at it? By the way Len how does it feel, from a crab perspective, to be locked in the tank? 🙂

    Didn't catch the live but watching it now. Didn't see a way to comment so commenting here. What happened to the halibut catch you had that was supposed to be custom shipped? Ended up having to sell it wholesale? Hopefully didn't lose a bunch of margin on that. Some of the gaps in the false deck are pretty wide. Planning on recutting those boards you don't slip into the wide cracks and twist an ankle?

    • @EISAlaska
      @EISAlaska  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Chris. Our custom processor paid us going ex-vessel price, so not a total loss.
      In all fairness halibut can keep 2+ weeks on ice if cared for properly, but our expectations and pledge to our customers is not in line with timeframe. We have always told ourselves we would deliver the best seafood possible and we are sticking to that! All the deck boards are 3/8" spacing. The ones you are referring to are still loose while we finished welding out the bulwarks.

    It’s a shame that you don’t have a cobalt filter for the camera. I don’t blame you though as they are very expensive and you won’t need it after this.😊

    Knowing you guys, I’m sure you’ve already thought this through but how in the world are you going to keep it clean under the false deck
    little fish, guts, and blood and stuff that’s gonna stink later.

  • @nnasab
    @nnasab 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Did you think of how to clean the main deck after you installed the other one on top. Fish guts and blood will make it unhealthy to be in that dick. Unless you have hinges to lift that top layer up and clean without unscrewing everything.

    I wouldn't worry so much about the look of your welds, that makes it all so time consuming. Just get the job done. You know your welds are plenty good, and stanchions aren't exactly show pieces, so just get on with it.
