I’m so impressed with your attention to detail. I would also like to thank you for showing viewers how to pour from a container.
It’s shocking to me when I watch DIY vids and the makers of the video pour from containers improperly, and get the big splash back.
I’m serious, so many people don’t now how to pour when the lid is offset…. Nice Boat, and good work!

How interesting! I learned something new. BTW, I just grilled some Rockfish fillets. A little course sea salt, fresh ground black pepper and a little dill. So fresh and so good. Not a bone to be found. Thanks guys!

I saw a few transom repair videos. One neat tip I picked up was putting on two or three sets of gloves . When one gets dirty or sticky you can take it off and still have fresh gloves on

    I love seeing the progress...
I wish I knew the plan....
Having gone through some scratch built framing and such...
I wish I knew what the goal was... instead of or including "this is what we did today..."

You have the five gallon bucket mixer, no big deal but they make a smaller one for quart and gallon cans which is a bit more convenient for the smaller amounts and easier to clean. Thought you might like to know as it can save you a bit of product over several batches as it also holds less on the blades. Nice job.

Haha good point Douglas, we saw one at the hardware store but plastic construction, unfortunately. We scrapped some hardened foam off this one (metal construction) a few times so far, I get the feeling the other wouldn’t have lasted long.

@@EISAlaska The one I have in addition to the large one is all metal as well; just a scaled down version.

So Exciting! The next step :) It's really taking shape. I had to think for a minute or two what it looked like when you started . It great that you have the process on video. Never gets old watching such good people work though challenges and make their goals happen. Say hi to Mom and T for me too!! Stay safe and make sure you find some time to have some fun along the way :)

great video again . i like the philosophy / aproach of things ,measure , calculate try and small portion . see the results and recalibrate .
i want to offer just two small tips . First you can put a bag in the mixing cup , and after the pour you can use the rest of what remained in like those pastry chefs when they dress a cake , throw the bag out and put a new one after you finished ! that keeps your mixing cup clean and saves you the trouble of cleaning it or the money if you throw it out and use a new one .
And my second tip you can use a simple hair dryer . that gives you the ability to catalyte the reaction faster and bu simple wheere you point it out you can make the foam expand faster , thus covering crooks , corners , holes etc faster by making the foam expand there faster than the rest will alone .
Waiting for the next video !

There is a thing called a froth pack it come as as two cylinders and a hose set with this you can spray the foam your self or use the other tip that comes with it and use it like a can of great stuff it is less expensive than the five gallon kit. and can be bought at home dopot or grangers.

They have what's called a froth pack for DIY spray foam. You can get closed cell but it's like $800.00 for 700 board feet which I think is like 58 cubic feet. It comes in 2 like propane tanks with a sprayer, hose, and extra sprayer nozzles/tips.

Hi there, do you have an episode were you purchased the new boat and had it delivered or handed over. thanks Chris

      @EISAlaska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Christopher. We have a whole playlist on the Emerald Isle. th-cam.com/play/PLkCEDunsXt1zxdcb1kxunJmZMfCU3tnOj.html
In terms of buying the vessel, it is quite a long process, with multiple parties involved, like the vessel broker, USCG who handle the documentation and others. So kinda hard to cover the whole process.
