My son was a big fan of the show. We lived in Raleigh and my mom took him to visit the towing company. He met Amy and Bobby and was given a big cardboard picture of Amy and a signed poster. They said everyone was really nice especially Bobby.

I had my semi repossessed, and they guys that came out to get it were very nice and professional, sometimes people need to understand that if you don't pay for something someone will come to take it back, it's a simple solution just pay the bill

have you ever drove a truck, the pay sucks back in the day it was great pay not anymore, and it was during the disastrous years of obama and I learned the only thing I lost was my business I never lost my home, cars, or anything else, I found out my cousin has had his own trucks for years and he informed me that getting your truck repossessed is normal unless you get money from the government, and he has lost 30-40 trucks that I know of and they let him buy 10 more I got out I made $120,000 in a year after expenses I cleared $20,000 the government took $2,000 of it for income tax, the only way I could save my house was to give up the truck so I did and I made more at a local factory and was home every night instead of being home 3-4 days a month trucking is for the person who has nothing and no family unless they are very understanding and can trust each other.@@richardr2716

@@alexj7409 in la they don’t have contracts with PD ect it’s 1st come 1st serve dog eat dog whoever gets to a scene 1st gets a tow and if they don’t have anything that night they don’t get payed
I got chance to meet Ron and Amy with my wife back in 2020. They are a cool couple who are funny as hell and really down to earth. Sucks to hear about their son.

I remember when TruTV went through this phase of absolutely horribly acted fake "reality" shows but, for whatever reason, Lizard Lick was one that I actually enjoyed. Always wondered what happened to all of them.
Operation repo was better but lizard was okay
Southern Fried Stings was always funny
They even had a phase of doing repo/towing shows. And it seem they were trying for every state. First Operation Repo which was in Southern California. Than came South Beach Tow in Miami, Florida. Than after being regularly featured on All Worked Up came Lizard Lick Towing out of North Carolina. And than Bear Swamp Recovery in New Jersey. I heard they were trying Nevada (mainly Vegas) after some episodes of Operation Repo were in Vegas for a like a week (which spanned like 4 episodes over a “week”) and Michigan. Someone on Facebook even mentioned Mississippi was looked at cause of how crazy it can get in Deep South Mississippi
@turdferguson82 can say this. They made the ACTUAL JOB of repossessing cars absolutely harder. Lots of people came out at us prepared to have to deal with what was on the show. Worked out for me though, as while they were “busy filming”, I was busy taking actual work away from them.

I love this show. I don't why it got cancelled. I used to work as a dispatcher for a towing company and the tow truck drivers went through hell a lot of times.

I used to take care of Amy’s truck because she came to the stealership I used to work at as an automotive technician. She was always nice and down to earth. We (my fiancé and I) go by Lizard Lick all the time because her parents live 5 mins from there.

Yes, they really are a towing company. It's been a few years now since I've been that way but when the show was big, they were still doing normal repos that weren't filmed.

I met them at a truck festival in Scotland years ago, cousin Johnny, amy Ron, really wanted to meet Bobby.

I actually liked lizard lick toweing me and my mom watched it everytime it came on we literally watched every episode literally every episode we watch them

I was a HUGE lizard Lick fan. I even got to meet the Shirley's when they came to the expo center in my home town. Ronnie wasn't too interested in meeting the fans but his wife Amy was very nice. So sad that their son died.
I remember watching this Operation Road Southern Fried Stings and South Beach Tow growing up. These shows were funny as hell and the acting was always terrible but in a good way 😂

As a young teen doing a paper on police work I became interested. Not really a expert in criminal justice but did become a officer. That's when I saw behind the curtain. Even more interesting but treacherous at my dept. After some time I resigned. Didn't wanna be associated with my dept anymore. Never got another job in law enforcement after. Screw em
My mom still has a sticker on her truck i got from them at a nascar race i took my family to 10 years ago. Were cool people when i met them, they talked to us for a few and aswered all my sons questions and gave us stickers.

I did repo's in Missouri and we did no contact repo hook n go. The finance companies have a key to the vehicle until it's paid in full. Only very few were make contact repos. But we only made contact after the vehicle was hooked.

I know it's a real company because my cousin lives a couple miles down the road and we rode by and seen the shop.
This was my favorite show back in the day
I love the way southern folks in small towns call each other cuh and cuz. My mother is from a small town in TN and she would literally past everybody in that country town and say they were her cousin.

I worked repo for a very short time and this show is very confrontational. My boss always told me run from a fight. No vehicle is worth you not coming home. I ran into my old boss years after I stopped working for him and asked him about the show. He informed me he was using it as a tool to show his drivers not what to do, confrontational wise.
I lived in Fayetteville NC when that show was on and one night I saw that the lizer lick towe truck going like pass me and a guy in his underwear chasing after them😂. I worked at the VA hospital at the time and just got off shift. So was not expecting to see that.

Of course Lizard Lick Towing was "fake" drama. That didn't stop me from enjoying every season of it.
People shouldn't care if it's fake or not, as long as it's entertaining to watch and no one actually dies it should be fine..

I loved the show. I wish it would come back on. So what if its reenactments. We all enjoyed watching it. The main thing is it was a reality show of things that do happen. They dont always have a easy job. If you can get Quest tv they have reruns. I been watching them. I met Ronnie and Bobby at the Strawberry festival. They seem down to earth.

If I was still in auto finance, I would pull all my repos from any vendor that would show customer interactions publicly. Not worth me getting sued for some stupid reason. Repo techs should be like ninjas and should be using a writ of replevin with the problem customers.

Never hear of the show until a few days ago. Somehow missed it growing up even though I live in the area. Now I live even closer. Like 4 miles from them. One of my in laws told me about it when he learned we live near lizard lick road. At a party with my family yesterday, I asked an in law on the other side if he’s heard of it. He is Amy’s second cousin lol.
I used to be a fan but had to stop in 2012 due to moving to Korea. If you had to ask me before watching this video why they stopped filming I would’ve brought up the incident where Bobby was beating up in the tattoo shop and then Ron turning around and getting a tattoo at that same shop. I felt like Bobby got done dirty that night!
really enjoyed watching "Lizard Lick Towing". It was a humoureous program and the cast was perfect for the program. I didn't realize it was made so many years ago.

Lizard Lick ans Operation Repo were my favorite reality shows of all time.
