Hello, I hope you are doing fine! Thank you for your query. We would like to inform you that Cast Iron Cookware is suitable for all cooktops, including induction. Having said that, we do not recommend the use of Cast Iron on ceramic/glass stovetops/induction, so it doesn't scratch or damage the surface of ceramic/glass stovetops/INDUCTION. In such an instance, we at Meyer will not be responsible for stovetop damage. We hope this helps. Regards Pots and Pans team
Hi. Thanks for video! A few questions: 1- When you clean the rusty pan at start of video, did you use regular dish soap? 2- Any type of salt for cleaning? Iodized table salt too? 3- After washing, how long for it to dry on stove top- a few minutes? 4- Would you use same process for a castiron grill pan with groves? Thank you!
Hello , I hope you are doing fine! Thank you for your query. We would like to inform you that you can use regular dish soap. Regarding the salt for cleaning, any salt would do, however, it would be better if it is a course salt for scrubbing purposes. After washing, it generally takes 4-5 min to dry on the stovetop. This process applies to all Cast Iron Cookware. We hope this helps! Regards Pots and Pans team

Hello , I hope you are doing fine! Thank you for your query. We would like to inform you that Cast Iron pans are known to be naturally Non-Stick. However, the Non-Stick property in a Cast Iron pan comes from the seasoning process. The seasoning process is not very difficult, check out this video to see it for yourself: bit.ly/seasoningcastiron The better the seasoning of a pan, the better the Non-Stick property of the pan. Cast Iron products tend to get better with time & usage as the seasoning layer keeps getting better with every subsequent use. Hence it is advisable to season the Cast iron pans before usage & after each use, before storing. Regards Pots and Pans team

Hello , I hope you are doing fine! Thank you for your query. We would like to inform you that before first use, the cast iron pan needs to be seasoned properly. Please watch the video above & follow the steps 3-4 times to get a good layer of Patina (oil deposit) on top of the pre-seasoned layer of oil. Once done you’ll need to do this full procedure around once a month depending on your usage. Whenever you wash the pan with soap/salt, you will need to re-season it once and wipe it clean before storing it back. We hope this helps! Regards Pots and Pans team

Thanks for this amazing information 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
Baking soda and water is great for removing surface rust. Just mix the two together to form a paste and wipe the pan down with it.
Very nice, easy way to explain, understand every one
The information about caring for the cast iron is very helpful. If I don’t have an Oven can I heat on the stove top instead of the oven
