    You should do a video cleaning a carpet, showing the entire set up and also make recommendations of those cleaners solutions to use with the Bissell

    This company is amazing. I bought a used Bissell at a resale shop with additional warranty and got cleaner home, started cleaning carpets and it quit working. I called the warranty number for Bissell and Bissell sent me a brand new cleaner for free!! Thank you Bissell not only do you have great cleaning machines, but yall give the utmost customer service thats above and beyond. Our family will always choose Bissell. Thanks again Melissa Darden Big Spring Tx

    Had mine about 3 yrs now and, love it!!! The suction (even after 3 yrs) is unbelievable!!! Best carpet cleaner on the market by far!!! Reading through the comments left here I noticed someone talking about the floor staying wet for 6-8 hrs??? I have NEVER had that problem with this machine! If used correctly, this thing gets the water and dirt out of even the padding, better than a pro.....I will never own anything else and, NEVER pay anyone to do a lesser job with lesser "professional" equipment!!!

    Would have liked you to address any troubleshooting issues for example the red latch by the bladder you did not mention what that does and I think it controls the suction of the dirty water into the tank but I'm not sure. things like that would have been helpful

    I have had this machine for about 8 years. I do not use it a lot as we have no children or pets. Excellent machine and I look after it by rinsing it through with clean water after using it. I also had the problem where it would not give any soap solution. The nipple under the carpet solution dispenser had got attached to the wrong bit.

      No problem hollywoodfrodo. This vaccum is an improvement over our old Steam Vac. Review was accurate. The only thing I would add (and I am not sure you mentioned it or not) is that the brushes of the attachment for hand cleaning do not rotate. In that area the Steam Vacc was better, but overall I am happy with it. Thanks again for the review!

    One major tip for only owners or users of this particular model. Be dang sure when you are done using the cleaning machine to run a good tank or two or clean hot/warm water completely through the machine. Even add a little vinegar to the water and place over a floor drain or take outside and run the water through the spray system. If you do not do this I have 2 of these exact same models and they clog up real bad with old cleaning solution which after a while dries up in the heater coils and you are screwed because the 2 or 3 sprayers will not spray and it is a pain in the butt to clean out the heater. Other wise the machine works very well. Good Luck

      Do you know how to clean the sprayers, because mine appear to be clogged. I bought it used and was told that it worked, but I kept it in the garage for a couple of years not using it. Thanks

    • @Mr.HotRod
      @Mr.HotRod ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JM-yr6fr If you call Bissell they have technical help that will tell you precisely what to do to unclog the sprayer. If that does not help you have to take it to a vacuum repair center where they can take the whole cleaner apart and get the old cleaning solution out of the lines. The old cleaning solution turns to a glue substance if you do not clear out the machine after each use. Hope this helps. I had to take both my cleaners to a Bissell Repair shop to get the sprayers to work. About $75.00 each but they did a good job.

    And i got water to spray
    I just broke piece on the bottom latch so until i get out to shed of first non working init
    I will clean carpeted steps by using the solution i mixed and scrub and use a shop vac
    I think ive bought my kast carpet shampooer
    How is yours working?

    I had this machine and it does work pretty well. But, if you have pets , i dont care how well you vacuum first this machine will be covered with pet hair in the brush area and suction area. It is a pain in the but to take it apart to remove the brushes to clean them after each use. After a year it would not spray water and cleaner any more which remdered it junk. I used it monthly, so i got about 12 uses. So if 300 a year for a new one every year if justifiable to you then get it.

    • @carrieclift226

      I would think pet hair would get stuck under that bladder. For pet owners, this seems like this bladder design would not be a good idea. How was your experience? Did pet hair get stuck inside the tank, under the bladder?

    My question is, when you squeeze the trigger on top to mix with cleaning solution,with the water, you said something about, setting the knob to clear, will this suck up the soap,that’s, on the carpet? Would it be a good idea to clean the whole carpet or in sections ? I like your video. Thanks.

    I've had about six or seven Bissell machines and over the years found them to work great. But I've seen a lot of people online bashing the hell out of them for some reason? Saying they don't spray or they don't have good suction

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I don't know if it's just 1 out of every 50 is bad... and of course if I got that one, I'd be bashing them too... But they generally make good stuff so not sure why so many people have a bad experience.

    So I need to know how to take off the portion that contains the bristle brushes. I have a long haired dog and my only complaint is I can't find direction to clean his fur out of there. We vacuum for regular touch ups, but accidents happen between vacuuming sessions and he's a year round shedder. I love everything about this shampooer (we bought ours in 2010 & it's still awesome), but the fur that has collected is wet & it gets wet all over with each use & ends up smelling like wet dog for a week. I just don't want to ruin it as the warranty is up and it works great not to mention it wasn't cheap (although sooooooo worth the investment). Please help!

      Hi Terri - yikes! I wish my expertise were of a technical level that could answer that, but unfortunately, it's not. I would definitely recommend emailing or calling Bissell Customer Service and see if they have an idea. I wouldn't tell them you bought it two years ago though. :-) Just tell them you've had it in the closet and haven't used it for over 9 months. Maybe they have a suggestion you can try to get it working again. Keep me posted - I'd like to know how it goes.

      Terri Straley I have the same problem, I just tore into mine to see if the heater core was clogged, but no it isn't, I put new belts on it, it still won't spray, I will do more tomorrow, I did get it put back together, but I am raising 2 Granddaughters that have school in the morning, so will finish & see if it works then, if you found out what the problem to yours is, please would love to know, I hate to have to buy another one!!

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe you just keep a really clean house? ;-) It's so hard to tell without being there to look at it, but if it's sucking water up and it's not dirty at all, either your floors are just really clean or maybe you're sucking it up right away without first allowing the machine to work in the cleaner fluid and loosen the dirt...

      I have a problem with suctioning up dirty water

  • @christined979
    @christined979 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the water is very dirty Is it ok to do this more than one time And keep filling it until water is clean ? Or is that too much water on carpet? I use it to clean pet accidents from my dog that's not fully trained yet and unfortunately my carpets are dark maroon so you don't see stains, but you can smell urine

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm by no means a carpet cleaning expert - just an average user, but as far as I know, you can do more than one time - just make sure you suck all the water out as much as possible. When you feel like it's clean enough, you can go back over just sucking water out (not putting any more in). You want to suck as much water out as you can with the cleaner - then you just have to let it dry which can take longer the more you've put down. Having fans blowing on it can help. Depending on your carpet, it might work better to clean it, let it dry, then do it again (the next day) for a few days straight.

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would not recommend this for hard floors - it is especially designed for carpets and might damage hard floors. However because we're the kings of cleaning products, we do have a hard floor cleaner that works great! It's the Hoover FloorMate Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner. You can check it out on Amazon here: goo.gl/3uzW4n I plan on doing a review of it when I get time. We've had it for several months and it works great!

    Do the brushes spin around? Because mine doesn't. Also after two large rugs, only a small amount of water is in the compartment--is that normal? Also the carpet seems really wet after 24 hours. Thank you for your kindness...

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not a Bissell rep or an expert, just so you know. :-) But the brushed should definitely spin. As for water amount, it's hard to say without seeing, but I mean when you pull the trigger it's consistently putting down water and pulling up water. Even after the initial cleaning you can go back over it (without pulling the trigger for more water) to suck up additional water. If you do that well, it should definitely NOT take 24 hours to dry. It depends on the carpet of course, but our low pile carpet takes about 5-8 hours max (but we do live in a low humidity area - so it will take longer in high humidity). It sounds to me like maybe yours isn't sucking up as much water as it should be. When you're done, your carpet should be moist but not soaking wet... Hope that helps.

    • @Sooryatownley
      @Sooryatownley 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for your effort and time. Ok this one is broken because the brushes didn't turn and almost no water was sucked up. But For now the carpet looks clean. I will get it fixed... Thanks again.

    The brushes don't spin anymore, but the belts look intact. It was literally only used once:( Could it be the motor? It turns on and is quite loud...just no spin spin:/

      Just in case you aren't aware...the brushes are only supposed to spin when you hit the release and pull the handle down to start carpet cleaning. When you park it with the handle up the brushes stop spinning.

    Had a leak in my air conditioner and it soaked UNDER my carpet. I attempted to pull up the excess dirty water before trying to shampoo. It's an old unit, probably 10 yrs. It wouldn't pull up a drop. Is it only good for sucking up the water it sprays down on the carpet's surface, or is the machine broken?
