Bro!!! You're in San Diego too?? Born in raised in SF I've been living in San Diego for the past 5 years. I stay in the Downtown area, where you at now?

@@thedarkrocker333 Awesome! I live in Mission Valley. How do you like downtown and what neighborhood are you in?

@@anthonyhalkyer2036 Oh fosho dude. I wanted live in Mission Valley before too. I lived the first 2 1/2 years east right next to the 125 freeway on Navajo Road across the street from a Chase Bank. I then moved to Sherman Heights on 19th and Market. Now I live in Downtown Downtown on Market and 11th Ave. It's a good spot in these new high rise buildings. It's just a pain to get parking when it's the weekends or the Padres are in town. Worse when it's both lol

@@anthonyhalkyer2036 I'm sure you moved down here for your own reasons. But I've been binging on a lot of SF videos lately. The Mission is my neighborhood growing up. I was actually born in St Luke's. I honestly feel like 5 years is enough of a new place. Been wanting to move back home but I made a lot of friends down here. I even met my woman here 2 years into my stay

Cool video! Saying your arm felt tired gave me a boost because thought I was only one. Does map have Mitchell Brothers’ O’Farrell Theatre (next to Great American Music Hall; rumor has it that Robin Williams used to visit while performing at Great American Music Hall) and/or Market Street Cinema? As life long resident, I am sure heard of even if do not want to admit if went there. 😊
Used to park at lot for Tommy’s and have dinner there before visiting Mitchell Brothers. Great food and atmosphere. Too bad Michell Brother’s recently closed.

This is one map I'd like to add to my extensive collection of maps of The City, with its broad assortment of interesting facts. Pease Press , a small cartographer located in the Richmond, has (among many other Bay Area maps) a very detailed walker's map of San Francisco. It's a map filled with suggested walking routes throughout SF and it's loaded with minutiae as small as the where there are rope ladders out at like in the Baker's Beach area.

J: I thank you for your in-depth views of The City. (But why was PFA shown out at the beach?) I rode the Hyde St. cable car over the hill from Bush/Taylor to Hyde/Bay to Galileo H.S. in 1951-2. The main thing which got me to move out of SF was the crummy Wx: Five days a week, the "marine layer" moves in and the Temp drops to 55, stifling any plans to walk Grant Ave. or Polk St. Due to the hilly terrain of the Bay Area, merely moving up to Marin afforded completely reliable evenings for cavorting. Your efforts show a love for The City, and I appreciate it. Sincerely, JL

From 1981-87, I lived in the city (Upper Haight and off Clement). Gentrification was a hot topic then too. This is the type of map I would have gotten - whimsical and interesting. I'm inclined to question the R.I.P. and Randos & Oddities sections' accuracy. When I was in the Haight, certain addresses from the Summer of Love era had been lost over time. If these kinds of locations were rediscovered, was that through careful research or the attitude that no one really knows anyway?

Have you done all the cemeteries that are now homes. People have no idea their homes sit on graves. Even sears on Geary sits on a graveyard. coffins moved, But some so old they crumbled. TRUE FACT.
