I agree. I did play this game, but only the demo version of it. The game was kinda fun to play. If Squareenix ever plans for a Remastered of it, I think they'll add some things, that will make it easy for new players, and players, who would want to play this game, but are a bit rusty.

Schwarzgeists entrance is one of the most rad supervillain entrances i've ever seen. Still love it today

This game needs a comeback and a sequel

It's impressive that a company that only ever made one shoot-em-up, made one of the best ones ever made.
Definitely a Masterpiece in its own class.

The good old days. So nostalgic playing these demos again. Too bad they don’t really do stuff like this anymore. This one disc kept me having fun for a very long time.

I still can't believe that Square Enix added Schwarzgeist as a KH3 Gummi Ship mission.
Schwarzgeist in KH3, Einhander & Astrea appearing as Mirage enemies in World of Final Fantasy, Einhander appearing as a boss in the Keeper of the Lake dungeon in FFXIV...It's like...SquareEnix will do anything with this game EXCEPT give us a rerelease/remake/remaster.

This game is major nostalgia for me. I had a demo disc with stage one on it years ago and sat on said disc one day and broke it. Never could recall the name of this game and finally found it. Will be sure to get my hands on a copy of it somehow
My childhood was the same. I played this demo disc so so much. Hours and hours of fun with games like Gex and Tomba, etc. Too bad they don’t really do stuff like this anymore.
But I was also curious to try and play this game again. If you download a PS1 Emulator on your computer you can find the game to play. Plug in a controller and your back feeling nostalgic. Hope this helps you Dan man. Cheers
HOLY SHIT!!! I found it! I've been looking for this game for like 5 years. I was 3 or 4 when I first played this game. I never finished it because I was too young to progress passed that big red bastard. When my family moved for the first time in my earliest memories, I never saw it again. I've had flashes of this game being part of my infancy through my life; now I can finally see how it ends and gain some damn closure.
"Badlands" that plays right when you fight Garnele, goes HARD af.

It's Square Soft. Put that dirty Enix from Square Soft pure work on PS 1
I hope Square Enix sees the revival and positive reception of the recent R-Type Final 2 and finally decides to do something new with Einhänder.
Ironically, it's probably far more likely than the chances of Konami doing the same and giving us a Gradius VI.

Yeah hopefully Einhander reaches the same level as Darius, Galaga, and the Ray series.
i used to play this alot only for enjoying the soundtrack and epic cinematic boss battles
There should be a collaboration with Taito when making this.
Besides, they bought Taito in 2005 and became a whole subsidiary in 2006.
Taito is known for making epic classic shooter games.
SKP-04 Gamele ? I guess that's its name? The intro for this boss when I was younger, was so extreme, it came out of nowhere and the slam when he hit the ground isn't portrayed as loud and as serious as when I was a kid. That boss I remember the most.

The company that made it is called Square, and they never made a shooting game before or since
@@jasoncrandall5320 Perhaps this is their chance to remaster this. Square Enix mainly focuses on RPG's especially the Final Fantasy series (most notably 7 through 10).
But the company they bought (Taito) made awesome SHMUP's like RayStorm, RayForce, and RayCrisis.

EInhander was one of my favorite shumps, and I never finished. I don't think I ever got past Gustav. Why isn't this game re-released? It seems like it would be a very easy port to modern consoles.

The final boss was so satisfying the way the camera keeps moving around.
It's neat, but it makes trying to dodge of their attacks a bit difficult.
Fuhrer made him some mad awesome robots and fighter aircraft apparently though! :)
Here’s the deal people if we want a einhander sequel the original composer must do the soundtrack no ifs or buts. Of course I read that even though he’s “technically” retired he would come back for a sequel if asked. Hell I would be happy with a hd remake.

This entire game basically looks like the staff from the show Beast Wars had a side hobby working for Square...
I loved this game. It was the only shooter I ever beat. The Hyperion battle was so damn disorienting, it was only through sheer determination and dumb luck that I managed to defeat it.
These bosses and music scare the sh** out of me..... bro the mechanical and sirens give me goosebumps. Like Stage 2.
Hot damn, they did not prepare you for how topsy-turvy that final fight would be. That was outrageous.

What’s the best weapon in Einhander?
I thought I had every weapon collected. Not sure I recall the Python tho. How do you obtain it?
In Stage 5 (Airport), in the first half of the stage there will be a moving truck in the background near the end of the section (before the crane arms part before the miniboss), destroy it with the Wasp weapon (since its in the background you'll need the homing missiles to hit it), and the Python will come out of it.

Why do you have 9000+ ammo for the weapons?
The fighter the player is using is the one obtainable once you beat it in Hard Mode without dying, I believe. It's called Red Selene or "Red Cresent/Moon".
