Looks like Coline has the height to do a DTY. I hope she's planning on upgrading. Her vaulting is very nice. Jordan appears to have the height to do a Cheng, too. Jade's DTY was quite nice. Not sure how it got lower execution than the Cheng.
Coline has the DTY ready I think but I wonder if after all her injuries maybe she has a mental block on it. I hope it’s ready to go for worlds though because if she has it she’s right in the mix for a bronze medal with Seojeong and Jordan. Her Rudi hasn’t looked this good in a long time
@@jojox9791 yeah that’s why Jade will need the difficulty advantage. If they both do DTY/Cheng Rebeca is going to win I think. But if Jade has that difficulty edge, well she can go ~14.7 on both vaults which would be a tough ask for Rebeca to match. Rebeca would need to go 15.0 cheng and 14.4 DTY or 14.9/14.5.
@@Plaspos don't get me wrong, Jade is amazing ! They both hit the 1/2 fully onto the vault in the cheng, something many do not do. But I think if it came down to both performing Amanar and Cheng, and both hit their best, it would be so close. Rebecca may be a bit inconsistent, but the way she flares out that last half twist on landing is simply stunning. Idk if they will both pull out gull difficulty for worlds, perhaps trading carefully into 2024? I wish them both the best though. Both tremendous vaulters 🙌

TBH, I don't think any senior woman should be doing a full twisting yurchenko, and i don't think anyone should be doing double tucks on FX. These are JR level skills. I know the COP is at fault, but it bothers me. I was a trampolinist, and I feel the same way about seeing a single somersault in a tramp routine at a senior level. 10 Double minimum. I'm not trying to put these ladies down in anyway, I just hate the COP allows this to be worth something. The Bronze medal winner on vault did an incredible rudi... and then a lame FTY.
I agree. Especially when I see things like Nina's incredibly simple FX that allows her to challenge for AA when it's really only her bars score that is competitive.
It does seem the difficulty of senior elite has gone way downhill. It used to be way more difficult than NCAA but it isn’t anymore. Most of the top NCAA ladies are doing Yurochenko 1.5
@@wombatnumbat989 Nina's floor qualifies for second reserve (top 10 under 2-per-country) in Tokyo. She scored the same or higher than Grace (Silivas) / Jordan (Chuso) / Maykayla (Moors). Her floor is indeed not a disadvantage for AA.
I know people will desagree but how can the judges give executions scores to carey's and jones' similar to Jordan's , it's so stupid! With Paris Cup was worst that US nationals
Shilese didn't compete on vault. The judges seem to limit the E score for each vault, no matter how well-executed it was. So they may have incentive to upgrade instead of just sticking to DTY.
@@cocoroni1031i am not trying to criticizing any of the gymnast or their work, they are amazing, talented and hard workers, what i am criticizing it's the system, in this case, FIG, that it's not be doing what are supposed to and doing what they are not supposed to, specially under this new president regime. I know she didn't competed on vault, and was taking about all routines, since quals, there was absolutely no sense most of the scores. Well i can see what u're pointing, but makes no sense they doing that with E scores. First it's totally unfair since it's a sport that u have a code of points that must follow no matter how subjective it can be, and second it's not even logical doing that since they downgraded all of the harder vaults to discourage gymnasts to do harder vaults regardless the execution.
@@JoseBarbosa-iu5jb downgrading the vaults doesn’t encourage anyone to do easier vaults, because every single vault was downgraded by the same .4 value. Vault scores are exactly the same just .4 lower. You still have the same advantage you would in the 17-21 code as in the 22-24 code if you do a harder vault than someone else and it doesn’t help say a bars specialist bc everyone vault scores went down by .4.
The entry to Jade's vault has gotten so much cleaner. I love seeing these girls go off to college and come back even better gymnasts.
Jade's vault advantage is huge. That would be valuable in team final.

Mainly because it’s a challenge cup so there is a less depth. Euros had higher difficulty across the final

The Europeans are unfortunately low level on vault. The Americans are better, but not at level of Romanian gymnastics from 2000-2004.
Jade's entry into the vault table is very poorly done! She enters without completing the turn completely. Compare with Rebeca Andrade please!
