If I'm mixing different color clays together, will the colors turn brown or muddy? Also is it necessary to use a binder board? Can we just leave it like that

For waterproof just use mod podge or clear varnish on coasters!!

Yes you can use this in both ways hot and cold. I used binder board on the back if you don’t have you can use cork board!

What is binder board? Can we make with out that board or we can use cardboard?
Yes you can use cardboard. Binder board is like thin wood.
Won't the colour from the clay come out once a heated object is placed on it?
