What a great review! thanks Jess. I was very about to purchase this one. But I purchased Samsung Odysey G9 57 inchi. It's for work and I love it. But I still love Dell U4025QW as well. Your son wants you to spend $5k for 2 of this. ( so cute ) When you have time, plz connect a Mac with this monitor. Macmini m4 is great! Thank you!
Great review ❤ New follower. Really want this monitor and have had my eye on it for months! Down to $1,500 on Amazon. Questions - can you turn off the ambient sensor? And how is this for gaming? Not crazy gaming - casual. Maybe some 3rd person or DOOM. Not competitive. Is there ghosting? Thank you very much!
Jess, just found your channel. Nice! I currently have a Dell U3821DW, but we all know size matters. Do you plan a video in January after the CES, covering any new monitors Dell announces? It's already Thanksgiving, and my 38" is fine for now, but I may upgrade depending on the new models. :)
Hey hey!! Thanks for being here :) Size does matter haha 🤣 Yes, the monitor product manager reached out to me this month and said he has 10 monitors for me to review 😅😅 So let’s say the beginning of the year is going to be quite busy 🤫
@@jesstechspice 10 monitors?!? Sweet. Looking forward to your reviews. I'm a retired software dev that now spends the day trading the stock market, so I can use all the screen real estate I can get. My primary monitor is that U3821DW, but I would definitely go 40" in 2025. 49" might be overkill, for me. My secondary monitor is a Dell S2721H in portrait orientation. Great review. You work at Dell? I will love to see the screen splitted or the Dell Display Manager in action. I use the Apple ecosystem, and love to see the results using a Macbook too. Sorry for all my desires shared in your video LOL.
Hahahaha love this comment! Yes I work at Dell :) If you go over to my video I posted this week it is all about Dell display manager. I used the cable very briefly not in video but didn’t enjoy it! Noted on the MacBook will need to borrow my husbands haha
Thanks for this great unbox. I am actually expecting the new 43 inch U4325 or U4326. Hopefully it will be soon. I have a question. You showed us the Thunderbolt 4 cable at 15:30, but did you actually use the same cable to connect to the Dell PC at 15:56?
Thanks for watching the unboxing and for your keen observation! The Thunderbolt 4 cable shown earlier in the video is different from the one used to connect to the Dell PC later on. It's exciting you're looking forward to the new models, and I hope they meet your expectations when they are released. Feel free to ask if you have more questions about the monitor or its features.
I have a curved 35'' and you don't even notice it's curved when it's in front of you. Although I don't know if it's adequate for image/video editing as it might affect the end perception, I don't do that type of work.
@@gabrimartinez The curve on the Dell UltraSharp 40 is subtle and designed to enhance the viewing experience without distortion. For general tasks, the text and images appear consistent across the screen. However, for detailed work like professional image or video editing, it's crucial to evaluate if the curve impacts your personal perception. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your 35" curved monitor experience!
The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Monitor's stand allows for height adjustments between 472.32 mm and 622.32 mm. This range should help you determine how much vertical space it will occupy on your desk. Let me know if you have any more questions!
Thank you very much from France Jess for your comments. What happens if I use this monitor but with a display resolution of 3440x1440? For office use. Does the screen remain visible? Aren't the characters blurred? Thanks for your reply.
Bonjour from across the ocean! When you use a resolution of 3440x1440 on this monitor, the text and images might not be as sharp compared to its native resolution. For office use, it should still be functional, but characters may appear slightly blurred if you're used to higher resolutions. To achieve the best clarity, I suggest sticking with the monitor's native resolution whenever possible. Merci for watching and reaching out!
