One of the reasons I personally love Super is because of the multiple throwbacks to the original DB. The humor, some of the characters, and even attacks. I remember so many Western fans didn't know what the Mafuba was until it was explained😅
I'd say they aren't real fans if they haven't bothered to read the first third of the story after all these years with plenty of time to do it.

I like how Dragon Ball (sub) has a classic anime feel to like the original Jojo Bizarre Adventure And The Fist of the North Star.
Yeah, Funimation did a terrible job on the dub. It was just a different time though.
@@thedude9941 I didn't mind the Funimation dub. In fact, I watched all of DB in dub with the exception of Super.
@@blacksmoke6292 I've watched all Dragon Ball dubbed as well except for Super, and I don't hate Funimation's dub it's just that after I watched the series in Japanese I noticed all the ridiculous script changes. The script changes were just unnecessary, and in some cases they make certain parts of the episodes feel corny and unnatural.

You know master roshi could've easily helped out so many times throughout dbz he could've participated at the cell games and sealed cells ass away or seal majin buu away! So many plot holes

It is a very hard and dangerous technique, he died trying to seal Piccolo Jr., Tien and Kami Sama also failed to seal Piccolo Jr., so they knew it wouldn't work against enemies like Raditz, Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, etc.
When Cell bloated himself up they could have used that technique instead of teleporting him to Kaio's planet. Another last chance for Tien to shine ....

It was only fatal depending on the user, remember in the 23 Tenkaichi Budokai tournament Kami used it and Piccolo fired it back at him, neither of them died.

Wouldn't it have been cool if Trunks succeeded in using the Mafuba wave on Zamazu then in the Tournament of Power we're told that Goku needs two more fighters or else his universe will be immediately erased, and then while Goku remembers that they can have Frieza join them, Vegeta suggests that since they're letting people like Frieza fight alongside them they might as well free Zamazu (Goku Black) to be their last fighter.
That... would've been a hell of a twist. Zamasu and Freeza interacting would've been interesting.

Kame sennin story about how Piccolo Daimaō and his Demon Clan terrorized the world is expanded upon, showing the horrific carnage that the minions caused before their defeat. It also adds on that the spawn attacked and killed every one of Mutaito's disciples with Kame sennin and Tsuru-Sen'nin being the only survivors; them only managing to destroy the remaining creatures by reflecting their own energy back at them. When Piccolo Daimaō himself came, the two were completely helpless against his power and even Mutaito's strength was not enough to bring down the Great Demon King. Ashamed of his defeat and loss of so many people precious to him, the old man left his surviving students behind in order to find a solution and heal his own pain.
Kame sennin admitting that Tsuru-Sen'nin went down the path of evil and lost hope in righteousness due to the influence of Piccolo Daimaō strength and their master leaving them is not in the manga.Due to Tsuru-Sen'nin having left after Piccolo Daimaō initial attack, he is not present for Mutaito's death in the anime while he was in the manga.
