@@sherzodakhmedov6343 It's been a year since we broke up, we really ended up very badly, but even with bad experiences nothing will tarnish how great these great moments felt! I'm sure you'll also find that girl who will make you feel "lucky"
It's actually just an E. The whole thing is tuned a little sharp so it's a little high. The song is in Bb, I think, and the open E in the fills of the chorus actually is a "wrong" note so it kinda sounds off when you play it, but it's technically what he plays.
It's good that you have changed your sound to Post Punk, so to take a break from Emo and since you have uploaded 2 videos like this one, I recommend a song by the Bahaus band called "Double Dare", you will not regret the sweet sound of the Post Punk and goth rock. PS: I loved the cover, Joy Division forever. Greetings friend
Been meaning to dive into Bauhaus for forever and just put on Double Dare and wow I love that bass part. I love how a lot of post-punk uses repetition in the bass to really hold down the song and lets the guitars, vocals, synths be very loose. Dope song dude, I'll probably end up covering it at some point too lmfaoo that bass is too good.
Lol I know Hooky and the rest of post punk loves their down strokes but I just prefer alternate picking. I think it sounds pretty accurate and I'm cleaner this way.
That downward shit, ignore it, i just use fingers, and you can get the same up or down, its bollocks, although I hadn't heard about it until a year back so maybe i just learned to not have it different either direction, sometimes ignorance can be blisd
I remember when once day my Girlfriend and I play this song, She play the bass, me the Guitar, the Best date of my life
lucky fella, yall still dating?

Oh bro!! Me bass my girlfriend synth... Better days of my life ...
shit, bro, that's awesome
Genius bass all the way through, but that ending is ultra-genius. I've been listening to this song since 1988. Never gets old.
So sick. Im thinking of buying a bass right now and this video might convince me.
Do it!
How did it go?
@@annihilation777 He died. RIP.
I absolutely adore that deep red coloration on your bass. Definitely fitting for this song.
That's a clean sound right there.
Nice work.
What a tone!!!!

Amazing.
Very good, keep it up!
Man oh man that tone is so nasty (in a great way) 😁

Double dares a classic, if you can do this that shouldn't be hard, repetition is life👍
A P bass would be way more fitting, but a great tone nonetheless .
Pretty sure this was played on a Rickenbacker
Just googled and Hooky recorded it using a Hondo 2 rickenbacker copy!
its better with just down strokes which is how he actually plays it i think
