    A study done in 2021 showed that 3 minutes of eye exposure to near infrared light (670nm) actually may help improve eyesight in decline. This is the reason I may not be wearing goggles every session. I also saw a review of someone that had their family members use their full body red light panel and the mother said her farsightedness (which I have) improved significantly. That was anecdotal, but I will be looking into it, more. *I made this comment before seeing your sidenotes. Thank you!

    thank you for the help review. You are so genuine. i am debating between this one and omnilux. Some scientific studies show that a combination of 633nm and 830nm wavelengths (which omnilux has) will help improve skin. Higher does has 630+880. I just emailed Higher Dose whether these wavelengths are equally helpful as 633+830. Hopefully, they will reply. Thank you so much!

      That's a great question. I would think it would be okay but you want your skin to be dry when you use the red light face mask so if you're using the sauna blanket at a level that makes you sweat then you may want to use them separately since the sauna blanket can make your face sweat. That's a great question though! I've been thinking about doing that but ultimately have just decided to use them separately. I like to use a moisturizing face mask when I use the sauna blanket!

      @@pamorama Hi Pamela! Did you get the Omnilux with blue light and red light or just red light? I personally have tried the Omnilux Clear that has blue light and red light but it's mainly intended for those dealing with mild acne. The Higher DOSE red light face mask only uses red light so it focuses on anti-aging, wrinkles and giving the skin a glow! So I personally do find them different because one focuses on acne while the other focuses on anti-aging. My earlier review was removed, posting again in the hopes that honest experiences are shared Dani!
    I did not have a positive experience with this mask. It was very uncomfortable, the silicone is thick and not very flexible. The nose opening is small and unless you have a very tiny nose the bridge of your nose is going to hurt trying to get the mask close to your skin as intended. The eye goggles aren't effective to use under the mask, again uncomfortable and make the mask unable to rest next to your face as intended. From my experience you need eye protection, amazing that people in reviews mention doing all sorts of activities with it on. The light is VERY bright. It comes beautifully packaged as if it's an Apple product but the mask itself has a cheap feel to it, particularly the controller. I bought this one because of the lower price point wish I had made a different choice.

    • @DaniSmith405
      @DaniSmith405  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! When you say your review was removed, do you mean you left a comment? I didn't remove any comments so that's weird if it disappeared. So sorry you didn't have a good experience with it! It's true not everything works for everyone and I'm always curious to hear how products work for others so thank you for sharing your thoughts! All great things that can be helpful for other people that are interested in trying the mask to take into consideration.
      I actually think the mask is quite flexible but I do agree that the nose opening is small but I don't think your nose is supposed to completely stick out of it but I get what you're saying about it possibly hurting some people. When I first used it, I did notice that it felt a bit uncomfortable on my nose and it left some marks after removing the mask but that went away after a few minutes. It was just like an indentation mark when you wear something tight for awhile. What I started doing to prevent the mask from hurting my nose, is I just loosened the mask and didn't tighten it so much and that made it so it didn't hurt my nose as much. I definitely should have mentioned that in the review so thank you for bringing that up! But since I started not tightening the mask straps as much, it didn't hurt me much so I didn't think to mention it since it stopped being a problem for me. And since you only have to wear the mask for 10 minutes at a time, I didn't find it to be a big issue. But I definitely see how it could be uncomfortable for some people!
      I had a different experience with the goggles. I am able to fit them under the mask just fine. It may be because I don't tighten the mask super snug on my face. I just loosely close the straps and the goggles fit for me.
      I absolutely agree about the light being bright! I always like to wear black out goggles when I use it. I definitely want to make sure my eyes are protected. I agree about how it's surprising that they talk about people wearing it while doing things around the house, etc. The light is very bright! I think I mentioned in the video that I like to use the goggles and don't like to use the mask without the goggles since of course I want to protect my eyes and the light is bright!
      Thanks for sharing your experience with the mask! I'm bummed for you that it didn't work for you! 😞
      I had such a different experience. That goes to show that things work differently for everyone. Maybe you can try wearing the mask more loosely and maybe that'll help you be able to use it a little bit more. 🤷🏼‍♀️

      @@suzanneb6608 Hi Suzanne! I actually stopped using it after this trial month simply because I test so many different products and started testing some other things out. But I've heard other people say with longer term use with red light therapy, the results just get better. With other things I've tried like this, if you use it for longer, you see even better results. I feel like 2 months to 3 months is a really good amount of time to use a product to see the results that it can give. Sorry if that wasn't a super helpful response! My personal opinion though is that it likely would continue to improve the skin when you use it longer because I did see results from using it after 1 month.
