He’s got it all! Marvelous virtuosity, extreme self-confidence and self-assurance, wonderful stage presence, and if that weren’t enough, he is athletic looking, and handsome!
I was asking to myself the same question few years ago even living in France (the guitarist is a french man) and being a big classical guitar music amateur.
WOW…just…WOW!!! The technique is out of this world, along with the musical expression. Every note rings like a bell. Such an incredible joy to listen to it. BRAVO!!!
I like the way he plays the guitar. Most guitarists (also most of the elite) play the guitar as if it were a piano. They all sound the same and that`s rather boring. He doesn`t. He belongs absolutely to the best guitarists. Incredibly musical, really good sound, very virtuoso and never boring. Wonderful in each aspect. Bravo!!
Tarrega was out of this world when it came to showing what he could do with a piece of music on the guitar. This man is nothing short of of a genius when it comes to playing what Tarrega could do with a piece of music on the guitar. This performance is definitely nothing short of miraculous.
I have listened to Emmanuel many times not only this great Tarrega arrangement over the years but many others. I have never commented but among the many great classical guitarist Emmanuel is one of the greatest Classical guitarist. Such precision, clarity and passion into every note. Bravo Bravo Emmanuel❤!!!
It is evident that God has a hand in this man's mastery of technique, poise and sheer musicianship. This piece takes me to places where I have never been before and subsequent listening continue the journey to other stops. Bravo, good sir and may God continue to bless thine hands.
This is one of the best performances ever of the Carnival of Venice variations, which reminds me of the recorded longer version by Alexandre Lagoya (Lagoya whose M. Rossfelder has been a student). See also the performance of master Aniello Desiderio at the 2008 "virtuosos of guitar festival", Moscow. The stuff appears to be a very huge score where guitarists can go and pick variations they want to put together. The lenghth of such an opus makes it possible to register quite all the guitar techniques from harmonic sounds and tremolo to pizzicati sounds. A very big work of M Francisco Tarrega that surely can explain better who he was.
Beautifully crisp, expressive, colourful, interesting and LOUD enough to fill a concert hall! If every guitar player played like this nobody would say the guitar is not suitable for concert halls. Congratulations, a fan of yours, Gergely
Dilermando Reis é muito pequenininho no repertério internacional. Não seria desafio nenhum para esse guitarrisita. Mania de brasileiro achar que tudo aqui é excepcional_ não é. O que temos são farrapos de repertório bom para música clássica em geral.
This is pretty great. It's a piece, I think, Segovia would have played only in his bedroom. He wouldn't play such common music of the folk on stage... similar to how he felt about Barrios' music. Well done Mr. Rossfelder!
At 5:44 where he gets the snare sound from the muted strings, that is incredible! Is he just muting them and tapping on the muted strings? I wanna know how to get that snare sound!
AxStoryxToxBexTold He crosses the top string over the next one down, which causes the two to sort of “snare drum” against each other, when played. But much easier said than done. Particularly when playing the melody simultaneously. Probably sounds better through a mic with reverb like he has though. Still amazing technique though.
It's surprisingly easy actually and should probably be used more by guitarists and composers. Even in flamenco - which is not averse to various percussive techniques - it is not common. Tarrega also used this technique in his "Gran Jota" which this piece very much emulates. You will see that there is a slight pause while he pushes the 6th string over the 5th which is the standard way to do it. Once the strings are crossed they need to be kept in place by a finger - probably the index - the other fingers are now free but the position of the hand on the fingerboard is pretty much fixed at this stage so the opportunity for chord shapes is limited. The guitarist is using rasguado to vary the sound of the "drum" - sounding more like a snare in this instance. This piece is really a set of variations many of which call on different guitaristic techniques, tremolo, rasguado, etc. Not my sort of piece really but probably good entertainment value.
Nicholas Rees thank you for explaining all of that so I didn’t have to. :) it’s essentially placing the 6th string over the 5th, finding the fret in which they intersect and holding that fret.
@@gillessalandre7502 Everyone has their opinion. I stilk think that Pictures at an Exhibition is not humanly possible and he did it. Rossfelder is a great guitarist but Yamashita just wows me everytime.
fingerstyle is cool, I just couldn't deal with the nails on my right hand. Too much trouble... so I just play... whatever. I like the Violin more than my guitars these days. This dude is really really good. I like everyones interpretation of Carnival de Venicia... especially all the Russian kids playing their variations with the Orchestra
From the beautiful rosette pattern and the unique head design, I think it might be the Dieter Hopf, possibly a double-top guitar. You can search it through googling for confirmation.

My favorite, too.
Check out his performance of la campanella
The composer is Paganini and guitar arrangement by Tarrrega. The guitarplayer is wonderful and brilliant, the best I've watching and listening.
The best guitar player I' ve seen so far.
that is Paco de Lucia !

When you attribute the hard work of others to God then you never become great at anything yourself. He earned this skill.
Very gifted man. One of the BEST !
The best version I' ve listened to.
Excellent execution. It combines a clear and impeccable technique with a sparkling and energetic interpretation.
A masterful performance indeed! Would love to see more of his performance.
Marvelous classical guitarist. I had never heard of him before. Musically and technically superb. Very impressive!

roland dyens and antonio forcione are 2 other players that ive seen use that technique, without missing a beat they cross the low E over the A string
This guy really makes the music musical. But he looks like he should be wearing a Chicago Bears uniform.
continu comme sa :)
Emmanuel Rossfelder: The best of all the times of world.
I still think that Kazuhito Yamashita is better. He is a monster!

cool....
What technique is used at 4: 50 Sounds amazing!.
G832EEM he was playing closer to the bridge and slightly muting the strings.
Its called pizzicato
if master E. Rossfelder wants to distribute content he doesn't need "g99tube"
