I just watch DET lectures here on yt for 2 weeks (I recommend Teacher Luke’s channel) it really helped me a lot. It gave me techniques and tips on how to get the best possible answer in all test questions. i still am confused. do i need to uninstall all applications (eg. whatsapp, grammarly, chrome) and only have duolingo test app on my desktop in order for it to be certified? or i can just close them, unpin applications from task bar, and make sure they are all not running on the background? thank you sm.
you need to disable grammarly, but keep chrome, whatsapp I'm not sure. just double check the guidelines in duolingo website. Good luck!
In listening part, where audio is playing and you have to type it. There are two take left as well. What i am saying, when i will listen first time i just wrtie the 4 or 4 words which i remember by listening first time and then i will go for 2nd take and then wrtie the other 3 or r words and in the last attempt i will wrtie remaing words. Can i do this?
hi! yes, you can do whatever works for you the best 😄 but I would suggest you to finish everything on the 2nd audio, so on thr 3rd you can check if you typed the correct statement, don't forget punctuations like comma & period if any.

Hi! I can't promise anything regarding your actual test result. Everything will depend on you. If you think that the score you're getting during the practice test is enough and you feel comfortable about it, you can go ahead and take the actual test. However, I suggest you do more studies and practices; it's better to have a higher score. Good luck! 👍🏻

I want to ask one doubt I don't know blind typing I can't type without seeing the keyboard. With seeing the keyboard only I can type is it okay.
it's fine, as long as you look back on the screen. don't stay looking at your keyboard for long time coz they might think you're cheating 🙂 Duolingo is very strict on those.

Hi I used my phone :) But during exam I was using the laptop and made sure my background is visible
What if we get cursor out of window warning while writing the test ,if we move the cursor like almost out of the window but i didn’t close the window or exit from the test , I was on the same test window but still got the warning ..will test get uncertified?

Maam can you tell me whether the DET has revised their equivalence rate with IELTS. I have seen the 140 equivalent is written as just 7.5 of IELTS.

hello, depends on what you use. It’s online. And during the test, the screen will automatically on full screen and cannot be exited until u finished the exam. Good luck!

Hello! Apologies for really late response. To be honest, it’s basically similar, the practice test and the actual test. You just need to be very careful in terms of your surroundings- should be silent, you should only look at your desktop/laptop, no earphones/headphones.

how to practice in full duolingo???. i have tried it but its only 15 minutes

I had a question, Do these practice tests have anything to do with the real test, do they specify your english level for the questions,
just curious 🤨
To be honest, whatever is in the practice test it's the same format on the actual test, only different questions or statements. In terms of english level, I believe it does. Once you get the result, the certificate shows the different level in different categories. You can also check in their website the equivalent scores into IELTS or TOEFL.

Hi, regardless of it's the exam or just the practice, I believe their test standards are the same, like there's nothing like one will be harder than the other, or 1st or 2nd or 3rd. Keep practicing until you reach that confidence level before taking the test.
my current score from practice is 85-130 idk there are really long empties between 85-130 does anybody practice it now and has approximately 110 - 130 score to help me because i really have no idea what i am doing wrong
Hi! I started to my journey with a score around 80-90. Now i took the real test to study abroad. my practice tests were between 110-125. And here's what i did:
1-Reading practice books helped me increase my vocabulary and i started to improve my writing by this.
2- listening videos, movies and series in English was very useful for me. And it helped me in the listening part.
3- consuming social media and reading/writing comments in English helped me maintain a good conversation even unfamiliar topics.
In my first 2-3 weeks ,i was studying over 4 hours a day, then i didn't even study recently.
Can we type while looking at the laptop keyboard ?
yes you can, but make sure to look back at the screen after few seconds, maybe 2-3 secs. Good luck!

No it is an estimated score for the real test you might score from 60 _120.but it is based on your performance on the real test .And the test will be consider from 160 .To improve your ability to take the duolingo test see video of mrs luke on you tube . wish the best

Hi! In listening you can see how I did it in my video, you will have 3 attempts to hear the audio so it’s easier if you familiarize it. For speaking, just be yourself, try it on the practice test and do in with yourself until you see improvement. You can also search for questions in google for more practice. Lastly, I highly recommend watching Teacher Luke’s youtube videos, it helped me improve alot. GOOD LUCK!

oh . maybe you can try using detready coz there they will give you the answers so it will be easier for u to practice, only they won't give you the score. so try detready only sign for 7 days then practice more in duolingo

I believe this is because there are people who got their test invalid due to many possible reasons, one being marked something like "getting assistance from someone" coz they don't stay in frame. Be mindful that you should always be seen in the camera and you're focusing on the screen. If you tend to look away when you're thinking or typing, make sure to just look away for maybe just a second or two. Also, read the details in their website and check other videos.

hmm, normally it depends. can be personal, scientific, etc. in finding real words, just choose the ones you are 100% sure you know. I suggest you to take a photo of it while practicing, then check the words you're not familiar with in the dictionary or just google.

It depends if the institution accepts Duolingo. There are universities or companies that accept this now, unlike before that it's just mostly IELTS.
You can use that for anywhere you want. Even asia accepts it😊

that’s good. I cannot guarantee the score you will get in the actual exam. but if you’re confident enough, and you are ready then guess it’s time to take it.

@@gabrielabeltmir yes I think you can cuz you don’t need 1 or 2 months to practise for this test as we do for IELTS.. Practising for a week is enough to clear a duolingo exam.

@Jaxongir Odilov if you're comfortable with your practice test result, you can go ahead, and yes, it's true since the test is done online. There are test takers who got their results invalid due to those consequences; as much as possible,
1. Look at the screen all the time.
2. If you look away, remember to always look back.
3. You should be clearly visible in the camera.
4. The room should be well lit and silent; there are cases in which even outside noise can affect the result.
5. I would suggest taking the test during the most silent time in your place. I did mine when everyone was asleep, even neighbors 😅
