What a haunting Andante, it sounds undoubtedly Tchaikovsky, and Taneyev has done a brilliant job, well done all. And thank you Rodders for uploading this masterpiece.

Taneyev is one of the few composers out there whose music I can mistake for Tchaikovsky's, and that is one of the biggest compliments I could ever give a composer!
Whatever the history behind these pieces, the music and orchestration are lovely. Some of it is reminiscent of Rachmaninov....or, should I say, anticipates that composer? Nice sound in this recording.
Typical Tchaikovsky piano masterpiece: melodically supreme and chronically underrated.
Taneyev"s orchestration is so respectful, it is moving.

Unbelievable... Taneyev has replicated the "sound dialect" of Piotr Ili'c! What a discovery! Thank you, once again, for this precious upload!
