I appreaciate that you revisit ships to show what has changed - but I´d appreciate it even more if you might do ships you haven´t done at all so far, like the MISC Starfarer.

I fully support this. Some ships stock loadout is horrendous. With minimal investment a stock mediocre ship can become a powerhouse. *looking at you Cutty Blue+Tana*
The Gladius is my go to. Ive pledged to many ships, melted alot to try out the new FOTM ship, such as the guardian. But always go back to the Gladius. It has everything, its fast rapid fire, can load up alot of missiles, three gun mounts, feels like a real space jet. One of the best cockpit views with no obstructions on the canopy blocking view.

The Gladius is one of those ships that just flies like a dream. It almost always (server dependent) feels so crisp and smooth to operate and fly. It was the ship I first completed the Pirate Swarm (with a couple of friends) in. For me, the Gladius sets the bar at what a fighter should be/feel like. Though, nowadays I typically run in a Hornet Mk2, Guardian, or rarely my F8.
This might be my next buy after the guardian qi. Thank you for all the vids, I started playing because of your 400i review. I just wanted to say thank you. I always check if you have a review before I think about buying a ship🥳
Great Vid, always nice to see more content of SC. FYI the best turn speed is now pitching Y like real life jets, You'll get the greatest turn speed doing that, it's no longer 45s

For me it's almost the best light fighter ever, of course a 325a/titan are also great. imo nothing hammers in fighter combat as well as the gladius. i've modified my gladius pirate a bit, with stealth components and three attritions 3. it's really fun. After the Freelancer, Cutlass Black and Andromeda, it was my fourth PledgeStore ship, which still exists unchanged today.
The Gladius is the ship attached to my game package and as much as I love flying it, I'd love it even more if we could trade out the nose mount for a bigger size.
Dude! I've been flying this thing for a month (love it!). I knew about the gun wrack. I did NOT know about the storage area (the major downside to the Hornets... I don't count the F7C Mk II's storage... Not very accessible). Thank you!
@@mephisto8101 there is no ladder access specifically to just get to the top of a f7c, so Telum is correct on the storage being practically inaccessible
@@Azkr- We're talking about two different things: there is the storage module, which can be accessed from the top which holds 2 SCU of cargo. And then there is the personal storage near the cockpit which can be accessed from the side of the cockpit.
i feel like CIG doesnt even want to balance ships. they just shift arround stuff so people try and buy other stuff. The Gladius having less HP then the Arrow doesnt make sense at all. Btw, love those Videos. The Paint showcase is such a good adition
Id really like to know why almost everyone favors the Gladius. For me it is the Arrow for Light Fighter. As an example i can do Pirate Swarm (Offline) until the end with the Arrow, but with the Gladius i get stuck at Wave 8. Can i have some opinions please? :D
Have to say I prefer the Mustang Delta. Half the price and even more nimble (72/54/205), more gun DPS and easily one of the best cockpit views ingame. Highly underestimated ship ... but from an outdated series.
I have to ask one question because I did not understand what you meant with: "..this ship wold dump on a Titan.." Does it mean, the Titan would not stand a chance against a Gladius?
Yeah, I think he meant it like that. And with reason. The Avengers (Titan) are in the ‘interceptor’ archetype. This means they are very fast in a straight line and it also means they can mostly dictate the engagement because of that superior speed. However, the Gladius is much more maneuverable and accelerates faster. So in a 1v1 with equally skilled pilots, the Gladius would win the engagement. Nose on target is the determining factor here and the Gladius probably has the best nose authority in the game. It does hardly drift, it points where you want it to go. But, it can only do that one thing very well (combat) while the Titan is much more of a multi role ship, can carry a couple of boxes for small hauling missions and has a bed to log out, which is very convenient in the current state of the game. If you want to only do PvP, the Gladius is a good pick, but it needs practicing to master in that role. Cheers o7
I love sabre comet. it's my fav ship but i don't have it atm 😭 i buy F7 ghost mk1 bc i need something fast and it was so much cheaper. but definitely gonna get comet back asap. it fly so much better in atmo than F7 but im gonna get this one too. bc it's more agile...

You should add your preferred load out with these reviews and show the extra potential or play styles the ships are capable of.

Doesn't the Hornet have storage area near the ladder? At least in 3.24.3 my Hornet Mk I had storage there, if you held "F" down to get dial menu.

The Gladius is not my favorite LF but there is no doubt it is the #1 at duels. Try and find a viable LF with a more responsive nose.

Ahh the Gladius one of the most annoying ship to deal with in my opinion. It like a mosquito when you try to sleep.
