I wish this had made it into the movie. This duel does a really good job of showing not only how skilled and powerful Anakin is, but also how arrogant he’s become, as well as how he is starting to give in to the dark side. The flip he does over Dooku is such good foreshadowing. The little smirk that turns into a hate-filled scowl when they’re pushing their blades against each other, and, of course, the absolutely ICE cold move where he baits Dooku into doing the same move that cost him an arm the first time they dueled, and countering it with the lightsaber drop/catch move, and immediately going for the arms. He didn’t just want to kill Dooku. He wanted to disrespect him, taunt him, and take his arms, and make him feel powerless in his last moments. Absolutely brilliant duel that tells so much about the characters simply through their fighting. Outstanding work by all involved!
Thank you for sharing master gillard! Beautifully choreographed fight and brilliant execution. The man who played dooku was great and younger Hayden was a monster! Thanks again ✌️

Miss you.
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for posting these!!! Incredible how Hayden mastered this I never noticed the ljgtsaber switching hands mid air like that
I wish this had made it into the movie.
Obi-Wan wasn't kidding when he told Luke that his father was a cunning warrior
thanks for putting this together, it looks phenomenal
Thank you so much for posting Nick! we love jumping into the past with you guys😊
I just want to say that I really appreciate all the hard work you guys did. It fueled my dreams as a kid and gave me countless hours of joy!
This is incredible! You're such a legend of balancing story and fighting! You are the John Williams of Fight Choreography!
Even in its early design it still looks cinematic.
Bravo Gillard 👏
Thank you for sharing master gillard! Beautifully choreographed fight and brilliant execution. The man who played dooku was great and younger Hayden was a monster! Thanks again ✌️
I love the detail that at the beginning dooku was using only one hand and a second later he realized how powerful Anakin had become and start fighting using both hands
Hayden was truly using the force here.
I live for these videos. Thank you Nick, and please keep posting!
This is amazing Mr.Gillard it perfectly shows the hints of Anakin's inner darkness being exposed I would have loved to seen this extended fight scene in the original film! So thank you again Mr.Gillard for posting this video (as well as the others) and sharing with us your experiences helping in creating the prequels
Love seeing these other fights the boys made, it's really amazing work from Gillard and everyone involved!
Thank you for posting all of these. They are absolutely incredible.
Hayden is so good at this, I could watch him fight all day. So fast, clean, and precise movement.
We were robbed. This choreography was absolutely superb.
Amazing fight, lots of work put into learning the choreography and being able to perform it at this speed
Wow this is 10X better than what was in the film
This is insane! Thanks Nick for sharing!
Real fight of legend
Nic Gillard’s choreography is true poetry in motion and that move Hayden pulls off at 1:17 was too cool for school.
This is awesome Nick! Great to watch these, thank you for the upload!
Christian was so ridiculed but to me he was a very impressive actor and here shows us his abilities as an athlete, such skifful saber strikes. Guys very nimble to.. He deserved a lot more from the fans..
Thank you for sharing this nick, and thank you for giving us some legendary lightsaber duels. Youre a major reason people love the prequels! Its shameful Disney didnt hire you again.
THIS IS AMAZING! What a choreographie!
Thank you so much for uploading this. The choreography is absolutely amazing to see and here. What a sword fight!
Awesome, i would have really liked the lightsaber burning Dooku's eye. And also when Anakin drop his Light saber and take it back. I always thought Dooku vs Anakin should have been more intense and longer
When u see this you can feel that Anaking is toying with Dooku all along
Absolutely beautiful. Nothing beats the prequel lightsaber battles
OMG, this version of the fight is so much better! The martial physicality and Anakin burning Dooku's face, along with the tricky lightsaber work, would have been more primal/vicious. Great job to everyone who worked on this!
This man could have been the next Keanu Reeves. Talk about a gift for physical acting.
Thanks for posting Nick, and thanks for and inspiring Interview with Star Wars Theory. The stories you could tell, wow. I like you have put your channel name in the video, and we all know the reason for that. Can I suggest you move your name further down, maybe even put one more in the bottom right side. You could also make it switch places, yeah it's annoying, but unfortunately necessary. With that said, I just want to say thanks for all your work on Star Wars, I wish a scene like this had made the final cut. Keep do what you're doing, and I will look forward to see and here more from you. All the best here from Denmark.
