Fishing Vacation! It can't get any better than that! Have fun! You picked a good week off from work. 107 degree heat index. AC problems have kept me busy!
Years ago, I owned property on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. There was a spot where the flood plain butted up against a rock outcrop. I used to find nightcrawlers in the rich soil deposited there. The Smallmouth Bass would go nuts. Now I'm older, I've sold the property, but I will never forget catching those smallies out in the rocky river bed. My favorite fish of all time.
What a great spot, fish everywhere, lightweight fishing is awesome, I’m doing it more lately & really enjoying it. It’s not always about catching big Bass, you & Fish Hawk have great content & your vids have helped me out immensely being a newbie, nice catches!
Great video again. Beautiful creek. And those Nikko hellgrammites came through again!! They do for me all the time. One of the best soft baits out there, IMHO.
Another great video sir you are amazing and just seeing the fish and the size of fish you catching on the little steam are amazing I mean it really is keep up the great videos and even better fishing thanks for all you do
Fished identical conditions at a local creek today and it was awesome. Was using a jointed rapala minnow and it was so much fun being able to see them swim up out of nowhere and just hammer it. Awesome vacation spot👍🎣
I bet you have to make long cast with water that clear? If you can see them they can usually see you. That one you hooked with the worm was a DANDY!!! Beautiful video, many Thanks!
That used to be my idea of what I wanted to fish until I learned that dingy water was much easier to fish. I can go to the dirty looking Rock River here in town any day after work and catch a lot of unsuspecting smallies, some almost at my feet. For over 20 years I looked at the brownish water and never knew it was loaded with smallies. They have no idea you are there and you dont know when they will hit. Cant see shit, but more fun to me.
I wish you had told everybody how terrible and uninviting the waters in Middle Tennessee. I don't need the competition. LOL. Great video bud. I hope you enjoy what we have to offer. Sittin in the woods of Middle Tennessee waitin on another video.
he wanted it because it was green, organic, biodegradable he is just a hip fish.... this is how I used to catch all of my fish in the day (and 90% today) Live bait.. none of this plastic stuff brother. ( but I am learning to fish with it). Very very beautiful spot.. if you ever have a chance to come to the northwest let me know.. I know of plenty of fish we can't catch together.. and some we can.. thanks for the share and carry on!
Enjoy these Middle TN creeks, if you’re still around middle TN I’ve got some places you could check out. Some really awesome smallmouth spots around the Antioch and Murfreesboro area.
John, excellent video. I think that Smallie that you felt that you rushed was going to come off at some point. It's been my experience that fish like that, that do a lot of dancin' are really prone to throwing the hook, especially smallies because they are the best at doing it. It was really fun watching you go after that guy on "sight". The video quality was such that I could watch him swim over which was amazing. Thanks for showing the "Adams Family" of suckers there at the end of the video...that was way cool watching them turn over rocks in search of food. Thanks for posting bro.
@@CreekFishingAdventures Sometimes I get lucky. got a 4lb LM the other day that had a humpback along with the smallie ,... weird looking bass. Very small river. In most places it would be called creek.
@@CreekFishingAdventures He was about to throw it back and I was like "if you're not keeping the best tasting freshwater fish, I'll take it!". He kept it..... lol
Gotta make a trip to Buffalo NY! We'll hit up the Niagara river! We mostly only use crawlers or minnows, but I've caught my biggest fish off live bait up here
Be careful with those small treble hooks. I got a barb under the corner of my thumb nale when I was a younger. Luckily my cousin was with me and he pulled it out with pliers. Great vid and a beautiful creek. 👊👍
Hey are you comfortable sharing what creek this is? I live in mid tn and starting to get into fishing for relaxation, learning how to clean them too. Thank you, this place is beautiful. Just wanna lay down in that water
It is amazing how any creek within 70 miles of the Nashville Metropolitan Area could be so clear, especially if you fished this in August of 2019, when almost all water is full of green algae, and there are no mussels in these creeks.
Hmmmm. That place looks familiar! :) Dangerous little creek - gotta be careful about the weather. Give me a shout if you're in my neighborhood. Great video!
Helgrammite is a good choice but try that dressed Mepps I was telling you about it. More flash and noise. The big smallies cruise up and down the creek and they love aggressive baits. They get spooked easily though.
That was a lot of bass you caught but no monster sized ones but it was good to see the number of fish you caught out of that Creek. Nice scripture you put up at the end of your video. How do you know what scripture to put up at the end of each video? Fellow angler Robert Gildea Elmira NY
Nice creek fishing vid, subbed cause I love creek fishing. I am a gear hawk. I love knowing what people fish with. That looks like a Lew’s Xfinity rod (exclusive to Walmart) I have the orange one and a Daiwa RG AB reel?
I've had similar experiences. Sometimes you gotta throw something that stands out a little when they have something else on their minds....well, I don't know what a fish has on its mind, but it seems to work for me.
Hmm I’m from middle Tennessee and never seen that clear water lol I may know where but not 100% sure ?? Either way I need to find it next time I go back to visit some friends back home. Nice video
And those small Creeks one thing I've noticed you have not use it's just a plain white rooster tail. Also the chartreuse rooster tail. And if you want to try any topwater I would use the pop r. I've caught some of my biggest smallmouth I'm at Pop R
People need to start likeing. These videos so he can keep making videos and so he knows that people like the videos
Looks like your vacation if off to a great start. That's a real nice stretch of river. Tight Lines!
Walking a creek is my favorite type of fishing.
Amen. And if you're lucky, you have the fish and the scenery all to yourself,
@@oldprankster7606 yep

Creek smallmouth are the most beautiful fish I know of and sometimes all they'll bite is live bait

Amen great video! Such a pretty area. The water was so clean and clear. Wish you would have got that big one in. That’s fishin though.
Have to love that crickhopper. I have them in six different colors. Lol

Great video buddy!! That smallie was a monster! I'm sorry he came off

it was so nice, cant wait to make it back there
Love those Smallies! That is some beautiful country.

you know i meant to bring a jointed rapala but forgot, it probably would have done well
The one that got away. At least you had video.
thank you for taking us along on your trip Sir ✌
That is my number 2 favorite freshwater game fish. River run smallies!
Beautiful *Video,* Congratulations this place is amazing.
Hug and good fishing.👍🎣🐟

Nothing worse than a broken line.. Lol.. Great location 👍
Gorgeous day at a gorgeous location! Nice way to start a vaca.
Yes indeed

it was strange that several hit the lure after i thought they saw me

yah i hear ya
That is one of the most beautiful creeks I've ever seen. I noticed those bottom feeding fish at end of video. Always heard them called Hog Mollies.
yah they are northern hog suckers, they were everywhere
I love this I fish my river all the time and catch nice large mouth and small mouth
Those hog suckers at the end are a joy to watch. Nice trip.

i plan on it

Your vids are awesome! Creek fishin is my favorite! If you ever make it down around Huntsville I got a few creeks I could show ya!
A great day on the water. Caught my first smallie of the year the other day in Largemouth water.
Nice, I’m still hoping to get one of those 7 pounders like you get

ouch, i will watch out
That fish that got away...didn’t get away from the camera lol. It just spit the bait. Beautiful creek.
the painful memories are the ones i remember the most, i will be back hear one day soon
Hey man, I was creek fishing for smallmouth last week with the crickhopper, and I caught some fat smallmouth, the best being 10 and 12 inches
thats great, i have only caught litle ones on the crickhopper
Give those hellgrammites a try. They do great for me.
You need to ride up here to Fentress County and hit up these creeks!
im adding it to my fishing list
Pure fishing at its best
would you mind telling me where you accessed this creek? was going to take my daughter. thanks!
hope you enjoy your vacation I'm from bama and hoping to visit relatives in Georgia labor day weekend and do some fishing
I have been catch em like crazy on 1" 3/4 cabelas swim bait all summer long
Live crickets work super well oftentimes for Smallies.
Awesome videos! Keep it up

No I haven’t

I had the best luck in the small creek's around me using my trout rod and rooster tails or spinners..👍👍
yah thats a good setup
Loved it! Great video!
u should do a video on the rebel hellagramite crankbait
i did a long time ago
😍😍😍 it almost reminds me of wyoming
You should try a fly rod with a clouser minnow or a white woolly bugger
i have just started trying fly fishing

Really cool place... looks like you had fun.. kinda place I'm looking for to go vacation. If no trouble can you inbox me the name of the creek?
What are those fish bottom feeding at end of video? Never seen that species
Probably hog suckers
You’ve seen them chase minnows and hook a hellgrammite lure? How about a minnow lure?
i had a couple minnow lures, they looked at it but wouldnt hit it

OK, where is the basketeball?
Where is the creek at? I'm in mcminnville and normally fish the collins river . Would love to go try out this creek if its close by!
sorry man but i promised i wouldnt tell, have you fished the conasauga river in polk county, its awesome
