Heartbreaking what she was put through since early childhood and still she gave and gave of herself without requirement and shouldered all that bitter judgement through the decades of those who knew nothing of her true intent of her actions. Sinead asked the right questions before any comittee did.
They get the money from the phone charges that people are charged to call up. In fact they probably make 20 grand on the calls and give away 10.
That’s how it works.

So Pat did ten years from 1999-2009, so you can expect Tubridy to flounce off to the BBC around 2019. Until then, you poor souls in Ireland have to make do with this wet blanket of a presenter. We have to tolerate him for a few weeks each year when he stands in for some BBC Radio 2 presenter, usually Graham Norton. How you stick him all year round amazes me.

But the €10k doesn't come from sponsorship. It costs €1.50 to enter the contest, and they certainly get a lot more than 10,000 entrants. And probably more than 100,000. So they are basically collecting at least €100,000 every week and giving back €10k, making a whopping profit for themselves.

No matter how shitty I feel or how much of a complete disaster of a day I’m having I watch one of Sinead’s interviews or some of her music and she always makes me laugh. I always feel better. I SO looked up to her and I still do. She was old enough to be my mom. I absolutely adored her. My own mom was a lot like hers. Awful experience I can definitely relate to. So I follow Sinead’s example. And a fine one it is.
