It's very common in Agra. I have faced it personally when I was asked to show my ID and demanded a higher foreigner fee as they presumed me to be from Myanmar or Thailand just because I was from Northeast India. Not surprising at all. They behave as if they have never seen any outsider before. The whole of Tajganj area is filled with scammers. I wasn't surprised when Shubham took her to see the Taj. Irony is the Taj receives the highest tourists in India. Hahaha. That's my only impression of Agra.

I was there a month ago in Delhi area for vacation/family - I would just say that I was extremely disappointed how the foreigners are treated. some of my foreigner friends love indian food and have asked about vacation to india and have told them they probably shouldn't do it. Not worth it. the higher foreigner fee is ridiculous and the people are also. Even i have decided to not go there.

It's very common in Agra. I have faced it personally when I was asked to show my ID and demanded a higher foreigner fee as they presumed me to be from Myanmar or Thailand just because I was from Northeast India. Not surprising at all.
They behave as if they have never seen any outsider before. The whole of Tajganj area is filled with scammers. I wasn't surprised when Shubham took her to see the Taj. Irony is the Taj receives the highest tourists in India. Hahaha.

I was there a month ago in Delhi area for vacation/family - I would just say that I was extremely disappointed how the foreigners are treated. some of my foreigner friends love indian food and have asked about vacation to india and have told them they probably shouldn't do it. Not worth it. the higher foreigner fee is ridiculous and the people are also. Even i have decided to not go there.
