Which algae eater can be suit with jewel cichlid??
I have a powerhead sponge filter with only one nozzle and that nozzle is connected to top filter box which cleans even the smallest particles from the water and water then trickles down which causes oxygenation. Powerhead is o powerful that it cycles whole tank water 15 times every hour but till there is no fast flow because top filter evenly distribute the output flow by trickling the water from multiple holes. I have also added multiple net pots with live plants like peace lily and money plant in my aquarium. It gives me cleanest water with no foul smell, no ammonia, no nitrites and very very less nitrates.
Amazing, thanks for Sharing, this is helpfull, you can make your water better by using API Bio Media in the Filter as media, comes with free bacteria and this will help reduce nitrates
@@MayurDevAquascaper My top filter has ceramic rings as well and I put some activated charcoal in a nylon bag every now and then to keep kh under control. This way I never feel the need to change the water, I only top up when water evaporates. Filter handles the ammonia, nitrites and plants handle nitrates and phosphates, activated charcoal handles the Kh. I never change my water and my fish haven't died in last 6 years.
I would love to keep aquarium plants but no one sells under water plants in my city and when I order plants online, all of them die before even reaching me. I really need java fern and anubias for my aquarium.
What fishes do you have in this setup
I made a DIY filter, Connected my 2 canister power head filter to a box which has Ceramic rings, Activated charcoal, Sponge and Bio balls. This setup removes all the foul smell and ammonia. But still I do 50% water change every 10 days and gravel cleaning with complete water change every 2 months.

I am a beginner into this, recently started watching your videos, I have small doubt about this topic, like do we still need to keep an external filter after installing this internal filter, I know your answer might be, like more the filters, more quality of water. Still checking with you to reduce the initial setup cost 😁.
If u keep an external filter there is no need to buy another filter. Canister filter or sump is the best filter in the hobby. And also u have to buy a good media otherwise any filter u have it doesn't matter, u can't achieve good and healthy environment for fishes to thrive.
More filters is not good, kindly do not assume my answers, too much of anything can be bad,

The only difference is the design. Functionality is as same as the power-head filters. Although, power-head pumps in more air and has good surface agitation.

i am using a fluval fx2 with spray bar sitting at back on my 200 l discus tank, the spray bar is pointing 45 degrees up approx 2 inches beneath the water surface , thus producing a very gentle low force. what could be the ideal placement if this internal filter as a second filter addition to my tank ? would appreciate your views pls

Sir mere paas 1.5 feet ka community tank hain usme glow tetra, tiger barb, moly, platies, 1 angel and 1 albino shark hain, to abhi mere paas ek diy power filter laga hua hain 4 watt ka, uska sirf power head hain or uske saath ek bottle main api ka bio media hain or sponge hain, to usse zayada accha clean nehi ho raha hain, to main chahata hu ki ek sbabse chota wala top filter le aau 15 watt ka, to kya wo top filter lagana sahi rahega ya nehi? Kyun ki machli medium size k hain
