In the Maryland area I pay 2500 for a 3 bedroom. That's a really good price there where you lived. It's so spacious! We only get half of that amount of space for 2400.
Hey Mighty, love both Tennessee and Texas. I am happy for you and your family to be able and move after calling this place home for 3 years! It's encouraging. I am planning on getting my EB4 green card after finishing the R1 Visa in a couple of years. Could you possibly tell me how you could proof to the USCIS that you have been a religious worker for 2 years? Did your church have to simply testify to that or have you worked for 2 years as an official job that just didn't pay? I am part of an Independent Baptist Church in Germany and here we help out without it being like an actual job with a license and all. It's more like volunteering as for example a youth pastor, treasurer etc. (at least I think it's not a licenced job). How did you do it, would be interesting to know :)
Hi there, thanks! It was a big move! :) Still getting used to Texas and my son asked "where's winter? Where's snow?" Lol. Anyway, as part of the green card appointment, there will be some requirements that will ask if your employer will continue employing you in a religious occupation. Your job history will also be asked. And there will also be a required letter of support from your employer where they will specify how you've worked under the R1 visa. I hope that helps. :)
@@CluelessintheUS Thank you, got it so far. Just a couple more questions. (To be eligible for the R1 Visa) does it have to be a paid occupation and do I have to work full time or is working only every Sunday also acceptable? Oh and in what sense does the organization have to be represented in the US? Like does that mean my particular church (by name) has to also be active in the US or is it just my denomination (Baptist Christianity) that has to exist in the US? Meaning, can I work for different churches of the same faith or does it have to be my exact one that is also represented in the US? Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience but you'd really help me out here, really :)
Hi Jan, new immigrants will need to show that they can pay for the apartment. So apartment management will ask for your paystub, drivers license or other form of ID, and they would require you to apply. In many cases, they will also ask for your SSN to check your creditworthiness.
Hello Sir! Nice apartment :) I will be visiting Nashville TN soon. May I ask the location of this community/house so I can check the listings? Thank you in advance and more power!
